Mom and Daddy/Pam and Kevin: My mother and stepfather. They've been married 20 years, and I've called him daddy for just about all of them. They are my parents, and they're pretty cool.
Josh: My little brother, who is 17 years old. He is my darling, and I gush over him even as he occasionally annoys me. He has a rare genetic syndrome called Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. We're currently raising money to work for a cure.
Grammy and Po: My mom's parents. Po was one of the three people in the world I felt completely me with. We always had this special connection, and he brought out the sarcasm in me like nobody's business. In November 2000, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and was given 9 months to live. He passed away on August 18, 2002, but I know he's my Guardian Angel now.
Kate: My college roommate, two years running. We met online my senior year in HS (she's a year ahead of me) on a Gillian Anderson list and clicked fairly quickly. We ended up at the same university, became friends, and moved in together fall 2001. Her blog is at Wandering Aimlessly. She's to blame for making me listen to and enjoy nsync, although we helped each other tumble down the path into slight obsession and internet knowledge. Ooops.
Erin: My best friend of nearly 20 years. Our moms are best friends, we're best friends, and I'm very close to her sister Carol, as well. Okay, and I'm really good friends with her mom, too. We may not seem to have much in common, but she's one of the few people I feel completely comfortable with.
Carol: Erin's little sister, who is 20 years old. I've known her since she was about 3 months old, and we've influenced each other greatly. She's a mini-me...we both read constantly, watch Buffy, and sometimes people can't believe we're not related. Sometimes we can't, either.
Kristine: My dear online friend. We met in 1995 in a Jax chatroom, always saying the same things at the same time, and a friendship was born. It's only been eight years, but I can't quite remember not knowing her - she's just always been there. She lives in WA state, and I've been out to visit her twice. Once for Christmas my senior year in HS, and once to be her bridesmaid. Her journal is at Kadyellebee.
Jennie: My best friend. We met in the Remember WENN fandom when we realized we both also watched All My Children. This spiraled downward into me getting her hooked into almost every fandom that I'm in. Sometimes, I'm surprised she still talks to me. We have a great deal in common, and spend a lot of time quoting favorite lines of stories to each other. I even got her into *nsync now. She finally forgave me when she saw JC bouncing in concert.
Biz: Another friend from the Remember WENN fandom. She's also helping me into my decline in the Xena fandom - wheee! She's the only other slash writer in the WENN fandom, and always backs me up when I stir things up over there. She's also a HP fan, and puts up with me and my nsyncyness almost every night. Gangster Babes: Also known as the Babes, GBabes, or GBs. A group of about 30 women who started out chatting because we all loved Sonny and General Hospital, now only 2 or 3 still watch the show. I'm the youngest by about 10 years, and I've been friends with them for about 8 years now. We talk about everything under the sun, and I can't imagine a better group of women.
MA: Mary Ann is a Gangster Babe, and probably my closest friend in the group. We met in person in the summer of 2001 at the GB reunion at Alice's beach house in the Chesapeake Bay area. Despite the fact that I'm far closer to her daughter's age than hers, we clicked immediately and spend a lot of time playing Literati over at Yahoo. She usually wins.
Lance: Lance Bass, my favorite nsyncer. I tend to refer to him by his first name, because of course there is no other Lance in the world. He is a pretty boy, one of the Pretty Boys (AKA nsync). I love him to death, although I think he's a total (adorable) dork and love to make fun of him.
David: Most often this refers to David Duchovny. David is the crush I return to between other crushes. I just can't get him out of my mind! He's smart, sexy, and hot as hell. Lovely.
