Eeeek

You know, I've put a lot of effort into my voice exam tomorrow. As much as possible? Probably not. 100% more than I do for any other exam? Probably so.

Point is. I'm working hard for this. I've worked hard all along. For the first quiz, I synthesized info. Didn't do well. For the second quiz, I created little story scenarios for disorders. I did better. This time, I'm reading the book, going over my notes from the first quiz, and reading my stories from the second. I'm doing a lot of work here. I feel I know information.

And yet. And yet I know I will look at those 40 questions tomorrow and cry. But I'm not even nervous. I'm just....resigned. I need to pass this class. I hope that I will. I think I'll pull it off. I've gone in to ask her for help, and she said she couldn't do anything for me. Thanks. So. I don't know. I'm gonna keep studying for a little while longer tonight. My only class tomorrow is the exam at 1, so I'll study all morning. And just hope for the best.

Please, please, let this have sunk in. Please?

mucho randomness

Wheeee! I got a B on my AR exam! And class was only 30 minutes. And the next class is starting 20 minutes late. So, get to come back here on a break. Very nice indeed.

Sending happy, lucky, job getting thoughts to Kate right now. Even if she doesn't take the job, it's awfully nice to have an offer on the table. : )

Meg and I were talking about concerts today, and it turns out she took her sister to see nsync four years ago. LOL I didn't know that. That'd be what, Ain't no Stopping us now? They've gotten much better since then. <.g> Kinda fun.

I made a winter wallpaper. I may have gone overboard with the snow. <.g> But I love the pictures, except JC is bothering me now. I used to love this pic, right up until yesterday when I rebooted my computer. Then I saw it all dark, before I lightened my screen, and he looked EVIL, man. And he still does. So I may have to go in an fix him. I think it's the eyes - maybe snow got in there. <.g> It's kinda scary. And he's the only one I see all the time, with nothing covering him. LOL

What else can I babble about? I don't know. Today, I need to call Dave to try and get a ride home on Friday, drop things off for Dr. K to write my letter, and study two chapters of Voice. I can do it, I can do it. Really. I hope. <.g>

Good Ship R/H

Dude! Chamber of Secrets! Loved it, man. Just plain old 100% loved it. Detailed spoilers and squeals below.

Ron and Hermione!!!!! They are so MFEO. I mean, really, really. They rock entirely. The end! When Hermione comes to the dinner! Ron stares at her with such longing. And she flings herself into Harry's arms, but she can't hug Ron. She luuuuuuuurves him too much. EEEEE! That was SO ADORABLE. And I loved that people CLAPPED for Ron and Hermione! Because Ron and Hermione!

I know H/Hers will be all, "Dude, she hugged Harry. She loves him, he loves her. Look at how he touched her hand so much." But no, because she's a 12 year old and can hug her friend but not the boy she likes. I had this problem with Michael when I was 12. <.g> Also, yes, what was with Harry and the hands? He kept tracing the hands of everyone who was petrified. I guess so when he did it to Hermione, it wouldn't look too out of place. <.g>

Okay. Enough about Ron and Hermione. <.g>

I so love the entire Weasley family. Percy's hair, in the Burrorw!! LOL Too cute. Although, sadly, they cut out the fact that Ron and Hermione wrote to each other all summer long. And Hermione signed each letter "Love from Hermione." Okay, really done now. I am such a fangirl. Arthur was just spot on, dead PERFECT. I adore him. Ginny seeing Harry was HYSTERICAL! And Rupert did such a fantastic job in the opening scenes.

Which leads me to my one big annoyance with the movies. Ron and how he's constantly freaking out as comic relief. Rupert does it well, but still. I much prefered the scenes at home, where Ron was in his element and knew what to expect and was sane even when worried in the face of Molly. I do, however, enjoy that even though he freaks out doing scary things, he is still there and doing it. But if Harry could act a little more freaked, and Ron a little less, I'd be happier.

What else? By cutting the subplot of Percy/Penelope, something quite cute, they lost the chance to show Ginny upset or worried. We barely saw anything of her in the movie - just writing in the diary. Which, yes, is a key and important thing, but I don't think the scene where she has something important to tell them, but is cut off by Percy thinking that she's gonna narc on him and his girlie, should have been cut. Just IMO.

Kenneth Bragnaugh rules. Alan Rickman was even better this time around. Sean Biggerstaff SO needs a bigger role. Christian Coulson is HOT, man. Made the scary scenes with the Basilik far less scary. Just stare at the pretty boy. The graphics were far improved - I loved the Quidditch game this time around, didn't so much last time. Although I'd think the Golden Snitch would have been charmed to not go under seats, as then a, the spectators can't see the action and b, the refs can't see anything, like if one of them had caught the snitch under there. <.shrug> Just kinda took me out of it, a little.

One of my favorite lines - "Ginny! How many times have I told you not to interact with things when you can't see where they keep their brain?" or something close to it - was cut. I'd have liked to seen Ginny reunited with her family. For being the character everything happened because of, she didn't show up much. And I know she didn't in the novel, either, but her few scenes were cut in here.

I'm sure there's more I'll think of later. But I leave you with this last thought - Ron and Hermione ROCK! : )

Happy Harry Potter Day!

Okay, man I've been sleeping a lot lately. I'm just so tired all the time! I went to bed at 10:30 last night, even if I did read a little while. This seems to be my reaction to stress - I remember it from last January, too.

BTW, always a fun thing - hearing the phone ring just as you step out of the shower! I grabbed a towel and dashed. <.g> When they asked for Kathryn, I was a little less than forthcoming - usually people asking for our first names are telemarketers - but this one turned out to be someone from the company she wants to interview with. Ooops! I got nicer, Kate, I swear. <.g>

HP today at 4!! I'm wearing my Quidditch jersey today - I wanted to wear my other HP shirt, but I couldn't find it!! Actually, I couldn't find this one either until I discovered it crumped on my closet floor, mixed in with my thermal blanket. So it's less than pretty, but still being worn. <.g>

Oooh, mom just called - the kids are on The View! And they showed the scene where Lockhart removes Harry's bones. LOL Daniel is SO softspoken. Adorable.

Okay, off to look for songs on stupid Kazaa. If you have any of the following and wish to share, I'll trade with ya. <.g>

Lose Yourself - Eminem
It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday - nsync (a capella)
Islands in the Stream - Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers
Standing in the Shadow of Love - Four Tops
Bernadette - Four Tops
All Apologies - Nirvana
Leather - Tori Amos
I Want You to Want Me - Letters to Cleo or Cheap Trick

snicker

My mom makes me giggle. We've long had this problem of her sending blank IMs, and she finally figured out what causes it. So now she does it ALL THE TIME and cracks up hysterically. So she did it today, and I laughed at her, and she was like, "I'm feeling naughty!" I told her, great, her and JC. She said damn straight. And then her next IM was, "I don't want to know, do I?" <.g> No, she probably doesn't. LOL

Meanwhile, class is in 10 minutes and I must move. But I finished my assignment due tomorrow, so I'm feeling productive. Tonight I watch WW and write a little bit more in my Shining response, and study for lab. I'm looking forward to getting things done. This bodes well.

ack!

How did it get to be 9?? GAHH! I'm still studying. I barely began studying! I don't know how to study. ::frowns:: She said there's a lot of interpretation stuff with case studies. I guess, once again, I'll just write and write and write all that I know. Worked last time, I got an A. But I've studied less this time. I think. Did I study last time? I think I did. Urgh. I know that there was a lot of guessing involved last time. <.g> Well. I'll just keep working at it.

Found a super cute story today. Sisters, a Buffy/Britney story. Yeah, yeah, you read that right. LOL It's sweet and amusing, and I adore it! I, like Anya, would be very enthusiastic to get such a video from Britney. <.giggle> Poor Xander.

Few more days until Harry Potter! I'm so excited. I heard this one is loads better than the first. Which isn't surprising, as the first book was mainly setting up the series. Hopefully Wood has a big role in this one. Okay, I'd settle for some really great scenes. 'Cause. Pretty! And legal, which is still very important to me. LOL He's what, 19 now? Good enough.

Probably should go study now. ::sigh:: Whoo.

sleepy day

Ya know, practically the whole country gets today off. Me? Three classes. Wheee! I so do not feel like going anywhere. It took me forever to fall asleep last night, and then I kept resetting my alarm this morning. Until 8:06 when mom called me to tell me to turn on NBC ASAP. Joey!!! Sweet, funny, flirty Joey judging on the Today Show. He's so cute! It was fun.

Wow, all the leaves are off my tree now. There was more than this yesterday! It's definitely fall. Even if our heat is off and all, because it was quite pleasant this weekend. <.g> But snow on Friday, which is exciting. Love snow. <.g>

Okay, enough rambling. Must drag myself to get ready for class. I think I'm skipping 375, though. Don't wanna go over the exam. LOL

Things you don't expect to see

A man on the roof of the building next door. <.g> Turns out he was cleaning the gutters. Also, that he was cute. That was fun!

Also fun is that I made myself a yummy lunch - grilled chicken with american cheese and homemade honey mustard sauce. It would have been on toast, but I suck and the bread didn't want to toast. Made it more difficult to eat, but oh, well. It was still good!

I'm bored again. LOL Last night, I got a little tipsy in order to work on a story, and ended up serenading my Jennie-girl on the phone for about an hour. <.g> I also flirted with this guy in London for awhile. He was really sweet, so when he was really disappointed that Kate and I never have (and never will) do anything "flirty flirty" with each other, we moved the talk to threesomes. It was quite interesting, let me tell you. LOL But also really amusing. But now I need to do work, and no. Don't wanna.

So, okay. I'll read through my notes once. Type up a rough personal statement. And then play. ::nods:: Doable.

November 09, 2002

yeesh

Okay. I really need to post here more often. I was trying to cut back on nsync related posts, and therefore seemed to stop posted almost entirely. LOL It's not that I don't have anything to talk about besides nsync, it just that when I went elsewhere to do my nsync chatting, I brought everything over there. <.sigh> And I miss it here. So, gonna try and post every day, even if it's just a little thing.

This has been a looooooooong week. But it's over, so no dwelling! I registered for classes. 13 hours only - good Lord, I don't know how I'll handle that few. LOL I have:
Archaelogy of Ancient Egypt (MWF 8-9)
Hollywood Musicals and their Social Commentary (MW 10-12)
Severe Weather (TT 11:30-12:45)
Greek and Roman Mythology (TT 1-2)
Jazz Dance (TT 4:30-6)
Clinical work (around this schedule)

Not so bad, huh? I think it'll be fun.

I got Justified on Tuesday. (Yay, contributing to first day sales! I never did that before.) Dude, I LOVE it!!! There's only one song I dislike, the rest I like or love. It drives me nuts that he feels he must mention his name in just about every song, but I'm getting to the point where I can tune it out. LOL There's some great stuff on there.

Also heard JC's first solo song this week. It's catchy, man. And, like, pure porn. He even moans and pants and is all, "Uh! Uh! Uh!" on it. Much fun, let me tell you. <.g> It inspired a new CD entitled "Home Run in the Backseat of Dad's Sedan." LOL All songs about sex, with a few broad interpretations. Like, Joey and Wayne Brady singing Next To You. It had to go on there, because JOEY, but I had to stretch meanings of how exactly next to each other they wanted to be. LOL Track list at the end of the entry.

I took a nice day off yesterday - stayed in bed until noon, read "Posession: A Love Story," and just hung out. Today, I must get to work. I'm actually working on my observation write up that's due Thursday. If I can get everything but my lesson plan done, I'll be happy and move on.

Oh, excitement of my week: I've been trying to lose weight, right? I had been doing pretty good. In early October, I was down to 152. (Yes, this is down for me.) Then I went home three weekends in a row and was back up to 158. I tried so hard to get back down, but I was stuck at 154-155 for SO long. I gave up weighing myself about a week and a half ago, because it was discouraging to see it go nowhere. And randomly, I decided to weigh myself today. 149, baby! I haven't seen the 140s in years. I know I have a long ways to go yet, but I'm pretty happy with that. : )
