Time for the Friday Five!
Time for the Friday Five!
1. Have you ever had braces? Any other teeth trauma?
I have Invisalign now. My teeth really weren't that bad... I wouldn't have gotten braces at all, except I guess I have a tongue thrust that has pushed my teeth up so that my front teeth don't meet in the middle. At all. I mean, they were lined up and everything, I just couldn't bite them together. Which, apparently, can cause receeding gums, or something, which could be a problem later on. So. I wouldn't have done it, but my dentist and orthodontist thought it was a good idea, because receeding gums, if they happen, will be a much worse problem. <.shrug>
2. Ever broken any bones?
Nope. I wasn't a very accident-prone child. Okay, let me rephrase that. I wasn't a serious-accident-prone child. I have always been accident-prone, but nothing that caused serious injury. My sister, on the other hand, has broken more bones than I can count. lol.
3. Ever had stitches?
Nope. See above. Oh, wait. I had my wisdom teeth removed... got stitches for that. But not from getting injured.
4. What are the stories behind some of your [physical] scars?
Most of my scars are from, like, mosquito bites. I guess I'm extra allergic to mosquitoes because when I get bit, the get HUGE and almost always scar. =/ Most of them fade, but I still have some. I have a scar on my leg from my last day of work at Disney... I was working in Pretzel and Nicky was at register and I was taking pretzels out of the oven. I had put all the trays on this rack that started at the floor and went up about waist-high. Well, a tray near the bottom hadn't gotten pushed in all the way and Nicky backed up to open the register... I backed up to get out of her way, and SIZZLE. Right across my calf. It's about 4 inches long. It turned into this HUGE blister that was really pretty gross. lol. Ah well. Battle scars. <.g>
5. How do you plan to spend your weekend?
I HAD planned on standing outside at the Allstate Arena (in February in Chicago) for tickets to *NSYNC's concert, but that has been taken care of, so... I'm still going home because my sister came home from Michigan to stand in line. I feel kind of bad. ha ha. Not that I WANTED to freeze my butt off, but she paid for a train ticket to come home, and now she didn't need to. Ah well. So I guess we'll go home, Aarti and Shelley can meet my sister, maybe we'll go see a movie... do *something* tomorrow, head back down here tomorrow night, and then I will usher for the basketball game Sunday morning. Then I think I'm going to dinner with John and Greg, and I'll probably watch at least some of the Superbowl. lol. How's that for my weekend plans?
