Justified
Hmm. I followed Shelley's lead and went and listened toclips from his Australian version. Now, bear in mind that I don't often like songs on first the first listen. If I do, that's one hell of a song. "Gone" was one of those songs, so I know what the boy's capable of.
Um... does my opinion on short little clips count as spoilers? Eh, if you don't want to read it, don't. =)
Being that there is only 35 seconds of each song, you can't really get a feel for them. But I'm starting to dig "Senorita" a little bit. I want to hear the whole song. I'm a little disappointed in the lyrics for "Take it From Here." I like the background music of it, but his singing reminds me of someone else. Like he's trying to imitate someone he shouldn't be imitating. Hmm. I want to like that song, so hopefully the rest is better, or it grows on me. I'm liking the beat of "Right for Me," but does he sing anything in it? The vocals aren't very melodic, that I can tell. <.shrug> But again, I'm liking the feel of the beat. In fact, I like the beats of a lot of the songs. This should be interesting, because usually the beat-driven songs I can listen to in the car, or whenever, but I enjoy them in small portions. I can listen to ballads over and over. So I'm curious as to how this album is going to turn out. Will it be something I can have on repeat in the car, or something I stick in only when I'm in a particularly bouncy mood?
