If I could turn back ti-ome
Cher tonight. Woohoo!! Cher is awesome. Cindy Lauper opened, and she was EXCELLENT!! She can sing, man. Like, belt it out. I did not know she sang "True Colors." I love that song!! I also didn't know she sang "Time After Time." She sang that one much slower than I was used to, but it was awesome. All I was expecting to know was "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." So it was a nice surprise, and her new stuff is great, too. For "Girls" she had the audience totally into it. Each section sang a different part... very cool. And she was all about going into the audience. Half a dozen times, at least, she ran up here or there, sat on people's laps, sang to people, just hada good time. So that was a fabulous part of the concert.
Cher was also very, very good. Again, couple songs she sang that I didn't know she sang. Lol. She did sing "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," and the girl I was working with and I looked at each other and said "She sings this?" And I was all "I thought it was a guy..." ha ha. So, um, yeah, it's U2. But whatever, she sounded good. I think everything else she did was her own, though, and there were some surprises. The show was really a show. Dancers, awesome sets, costumes, everything. The works. They kept playing these old videos of her... had a clip of Janet Jackson when she was like six. Heehee. So cute. But anyway, I'm rambling because I'm still a bit bouncy, and yeah. GOOD night.
