I agree wholeheartedly with my grandmother when she says exams should be illegal. At least having them count for your entire grade should be. I understand that attendance and all is indirectly measured by how well you do on an exam; if you went to class, you should have all the information necessary, and should therefore do well. Except when lecture doesn't correspond AT ALL with the book... we have to read the whole book, figure out what's important, memorize that, and THEN be tested on the in-depth studies we cover in lecture that aren't even on the same topic as the book reading. And if we don't understand our notes, there's nowhere else to look. No other available information that can clarify the concepts. Just, grr. And THEN to give you eight essay questions with no options. Like, if he gave us ten and told us to answer eight, at least we'd be able to relax a little, because in that huge amount of information we're forced to memorize, there might be one or two things we just don't have as strong a grasp on. But no, there are eight and we answer eight.

Off to hopefully not fail my Small Group Behavior exam.
