February 5, 2007
Posters galore. I'm so proud of my employees. We had a big staff meeting on Saturday, and a few weeks prior I'd assigned them each a product to make a poster about. They all took it very seriously, got creative, and did a wonderful job. So proud!
This would have been my picture for Saturday, but I didn't have a chance to put the posters up on the wall until this morning.
Plenty of other things happened today, like getting the news I'll have to drop another $450 on my car. Ai yi yi! The car is currently in the shop, having whatever it is that keeps making my engine light turn on fixed. I am driving a loaner, a 2007 Chevy HHR. It's very similar to a PT Cruiser, in that burnt sienna color. I feel bad saying I don't really like the car... the color is not my favorite, and the windows seem so very small. I felt like I couldn't see anything, like my blind spots were HUGE. I was nervous enough driving a car that started with only 10 miles on it the 30 miles home, and with not being able to see? Gah! But the dealership is being extremely awesome to me, so I have to be thankful. And also give them $450.
Since I wasn't planning on not having my car today, I didn't take the clicker out of it before my dealership buddy whisked the car off to the shop (he came by the office and took the car in to look at it on a whim). When I got home today, I couldn't get in the gate! I had my neighbor behind me honking up a storm (she could have fit in beside me, as I was squeezed off to the side waiting for someone to open the gate), but she thought I was being rude and just kept honking. She apologized when I explained the situation, but yikes. I'll have to figure out how to get OUT tomorrow, too.
So. February 5th was kind of eventful, in a car-centric way.
