We had our second go at watching the Ellen Show film today, and it was MUCH more successful than the first time. I was at the studio before 7:00 and waited in line chatting with some nice people for more than three hours. We did get into the audience this time. Yay! We were hoping they'd be filming the Sandra Bullock/Julian McMahon episode, but they were filming Bob Barker instead. But! With a "surprise for the audience," which may be the only reason S agreed to go ahead and come back.
Lunch, shopping, and four hours later we were back for another two hours of standing in line. It was hot, too. Sweltering. But we survived.
Bob Barker was actually pretty cute, and the episode will air tomorrow, Wednesday. If you happen to catch the audience, I'm aaaaaall the way stage right kind of near the back in a black and white shirt and black sweater. I'm the one with the one flaming red crying eye (don't know what was up, but my eye is IN PAIN OMG OW!), and S is next to me in a red shirt.
Then, THEN! Ellen went to change clothes to film a couple commercial spots for Dayton and Richmond. Then she said, "Sometimes we have to film a segment from an upcoming show, so now it's THURSDAY. Y'all part your hair on the other side or something and pretend you're a different audience."
And then JULIAN MCMAHON AND SANDRA BULLOCK CAME OUT! Julian is even dreamier in person. *swoon* And Sandra was super-cute! They did an adorable segment with MUCH bickering, and that will air Thursday. Two shows for the price of one! And I've done more goofy dancing and hand clapping than probably the last five years combined. Good times at the Ellen show!
