Sunday, 2/3/08: Superbowl
I'm not a huge football fan, but I picked the Giants to root for. I was the only one at Ryan's Superbowl party cheering for them until Chuck arrived late in the game, so it was even a little bit more fun that they won. Not that I was wholly invested either way, but I tend to cheer for the underdogs, and there's that whole greedy-geographic-region thing the Patriots have going on. By the fourth quarter, it was a good game. Before that, kinda boring. Yay for exciting endings, though!
After the Big Game, we rocked to some Guitar Hero. It was the first time I'd played, but it was enjoyable! It took several rounds of watching others before I worked up the courage, but I did Carry On Wayward Son (badly), Sweet Child of Mine (so-so), and some Heart song I didn't know (which apparently is the key, as I won that round). Suddenly I am tempted to own a game console. Never before have I even had the slightest desire, but now I see that it can be fun!
