Wednesday, 2/13/08: First Valentine
Today was our Operations Symposium downtown at corporate. I carpooled with a couple people, and my friend S gave me this card Little A made for me. Isn't it adorable? Love it.
The meetings at corporate always have themes, and today's was, loosely, Valentine's Day. More specifically, Henry VIII, because he was such a romantic that he had six wives. We learned a little rhyme to help us remember the order: "Divorced, beheaded, died... divorced, beheaded, survived." Happy thought, eh? My group was Catherine of Aragon, his first and longest wife. Twenty years he was with her before he had their marriage annulled. Which is a little bit funny! Also funny is that half of his wives were named Catherine, all spelled differently (Catherine, Kathryn, Katherine).
