What I remember about May

What I remember about May Day is the maypole. Didn't they have a bit on that in the All of a Kind Family books, by Sydney Taylor? Or maybe it was the Betsy books by Carolyn Haywood? Hmmm. Could be Ellen Tebbits, by Beverly Cleary, too. LOL Well, it was some bit in a book I read zillions of times when I was a kid. <.g> I loved the idea of the ribbons winding around the pole - so pretty!
