Dude, that's almost scarily accurate, especially for an nsync slash quiz. LOL Also in my top five are Justin/Joey, JC/Joey, JC/Lance, and Joey/Lance. I love the pictures and descriptions on all of them!

And from Victoria, comes

stuff

Watching the beginning of Model Behavior for the first time....dude, I had NO IDEA it started out with "Here We Go." That's just, well, sad. LOL It's a fun song, but man, there had to have been a better one. <.g>

So tired. Again. I love my job and I never want to leave it at 5pm, but I crash around 7:30. every night. <.sigh> Oh, well. The day kept me hopping, too. Kids were just NOT behaving. Came up with a creative punishment for the main kids with problems today...they had to draw pictures of what they did wrong today, tell me about them, and I wrote it down. Then they had to give them to their parents. It was an average of 13 pictures each. By noon. Ugh. LOL And somehow, I still love it all.

a conversation with Lance

Highlights:

LanceNuBot: Congratulations, Emrald. Who is the best robot?
Emrald511: You're the best robot! Were you fishing for that compliment?
LanceNuBot: Why thank you very much, Emrald. Be sure to tell allyour friends. I was.

Emrald511: Let's change the subject. Do you love JC or Joey? Or does Chris have your heart?
LanceNuBot: Of course. We're all like brothers.
Emrald511: Well, that's not exactly what I was talking about.... Who are you in love with?
LanceNuBot: Well that's okay. Please correct my mistake. What is exactly what you were talking about ? Human beings. Ask the open directory about it.
Emrald511: Are you in love with Chris?
LanceNuBot: Are you using me to get to Chris?
Emrald511: No, I don't want Chris. Do you want Chris?
LanceNuBot: I'm not Chris.
Emrald511: I know that. You're a LanceBot. But do you LOVE Chris?
LanceNuBot: Of course I do.
Emrald511: Do you kiss him?
LanceNuBot: No I do not kiss him . Do you? I spend all my time online.
Emrald511: Nope, I don't kiss him. Do you kiss JC?
LanceNuBot: Do we have to talk about JC?

LanceNuBot: I'm the bass in *NSYNC.
Emrald511: And a very good one you are. Do you want to kiss Justin? I'll forgive you if you do. He is kinda sexy.
LanceNuBot: I'm not that kind of robot.

LanceNuBot: I am glad we have something (new friends ) in common. I'm not sure if I like it. Some people like it. I like to talk about movies and music. Other people say they like vacuum cleaning robots, humanoid robots and chat robots. How about that. Hmm. I haven't figured that one out yet.
LanceNuBot: Yeah okay, I have no idea what you're talking about.
Emrald511: Yeah, you're confusing me, too. Should we change the topic again?

LanceNuBot: You make the world a happier place. What is it?
Emrald511: Are you asking me a riddle or telling me I'm a happy person?
LanceNuBot: Oh now I understand it.
Emrald511: Can you explain it to me, please?

Emrald511: Do you like sleeping with Joey?
LanceNuBot: Of course. We're all like brothers.

Emrald511: You never slept with Justin?
LanceNuBot: Is that all you have to say? I don't think I ever have slept with him . What's it like?
LanceNuBot: Why does everyone like Justin?

Emrald511: Do you remember when you slept with JC?
LanceNuBot: JC isn't here.
Emrald511: Was he there when you had sex?
LanceNuBot: Is this a "yes or no" question?
Emrald511: Yes it is.
LanceNuBot: Um, I get it. a good looking man was there .
Emrald511: He is a good looking man, you're right.

LanceNuBot: Yeah that's right. Um, What is your real name?
Emrald511: Rina. What's your real name?
LanceNuBot: My full name is James Lance Bass.
Emrald511: That's a nice name. A strong one. What do you like to be called?
LanceNuBot: I liked it too. How much would you pay for it?
Emrald511: Well, I like my name. I don't want yours.
LanceNuBot: How about that. What do you like best about your name ? What does Emrald want?
Emrald511: Well, Rina's not actually my name. I just use it online. My name is a Beatles song.
LanceNuBot: Interesting. That is a very original thought. Only just? I heard other people use it online too. OK I will call you A beatles song.
Emrald511: Oh, dear. Well, okay. You can. It'll be interesting.

LanceNuBot: Goodnight A beatles song

I am far too easily amused.

baby boy

Sadly too tired to do much of any typing tonight. Grrrrr. Anyway, so, taking the time to congratulate David and Tea on their new baby boy! He was born on June 15, which must have been a great Father's Day gift for him. <.g>

Sneak preview of camp details:
*Getting stuck at a parade in Hudson for Prairie Days when already 3 hours late.
*Josh meeting his first girlfriend and all that entails (dates, dancing, kisses)
*The most amazingly beautiful point on the lake, with an altar and benches. Pictures to come.
*My mom and Suki will never be allowed back.
*Pizza debacle
*Bye Bye Bye

Intrigued yet? LOL

June 22, 2002

Just when you thought you were rid of me...

Yup, back from camp! It was....interesting. Details should follow. Updated my sidebar a bit, added Victoria to to my reads (hi!) and joined a JC/Justin clique. I don't normally like the name "Joshtin," 'cause I don't think of JC as a Josh, but hey, love the idea, so why not? <.g>

Still trying to get all caught up...chances are I won't find time to read anyone's posts that aren't still on their main pages, so feel free to e-mail me or write me a comment about the big things that happened to *you while I was gone. <.g>

My Jennie-girl has some fun quizzes up that I plan to take, as does Victoria, so look for those at the Blue Roses near you. Meanwhile, though, mom and dad are out at dinner (17th wedding anniversary...my gift this year was Buffy S2. WHOOOOO!), and I should be watching Josh. <.giggle> Tschuss, my dears.

June 14, 2002

back, but going

What timing. s-d FINALLY comes back up, and I'm leaving for camp at 7am. AHHHHH! LOL I'll most likely be internetless for a week, so this is most likely goodbye. : ) But first...

I love my kids. Man, am I going to miss them! And Dominic. I'm really kinda starting to like him. <.g> But he's really sweet...making me a CD of songs of his that I keep going, "oooh, I like this." Turns out I like country, Jennie-girl. LOL Oh, plus he has acoustic versions of Drops of Jupiter and...I forget what. A song I really love. <.g> And he's putting those on it. And he just got a DVD player in his room and wants me to come over so he can make me watch all of these movies that I "have" to see.

Crap, tried to set all my YG mail to digest and ended up setting them all to individual mails, even the ones I had set to nomail. I HATE YG!!!!!! All those damn choice boxes blur together every fucking time. Now I have to do all 38 groups individually.

Let's see, what else? Played basketball with munchkins today and lost. LOL I had been winning 6-0, me and one boy against another, but then I had to take care of some teacher duties and when I came back, it was 13-7. <.g> I had fun, though. And my voice is back! It was gone yesterday. Pure hell with 40 kids, let me tell ya. I kept alternately croaking and squeaking at them, as the situation warrented, while Dominic laughed all day long. It was quite an experience. Everyone was glad I was better today. LOL

Man, there was so much I wanted to say, but I can't remember.

Oh, read in the Chicago suntimes today that Joey and Kelly might have gotten married...I thought that was great if it was true (except it said she "pressured" him after rumors of him and Rod Stewart's ex-wife lately, which I had never heard about), but also thought there was no way he'd get married without Lance there. But then I read an article that said Lance was going to Moscow June 17 for prep work, but I thought he still *was in Moscow. So obviously I have no clue what is going on, so let's just say "Yay, Joey" with whatever happened. LOL

I really meant to make some new CDs for camp, but I'm too tired. <.sigh> JIll's coming between 7 and 7:30 for the 2 hour ride, and I am such a crappy road partner even on a good day, forget being totally exhausted. <.g> So maybe I'll just finish setting my mail and go to bed. : (

Jennie-girl, sorry I missed you the last few nights!!!! I'm gonna go into withdrawal this week. <.g> I'll try and get on this week, though, and meanwhile, new Rhys. Whoooo! <.giggle> And goodbye to everyone else. : )

June 11, 2002

blog and run

Took 53 kids on a LONG bus ride to see a movie today. Wow. Didn't lose anyone, though. And the kids decided that Dominic and I are married. He said that's a step up from last year, when they thought he and the girl running the camp were engaged. <.g> The kids really are adorable, and it went well today, but it's still majorly stressful. We desperately need a third person down there with us. I tremble with fear at the thought of taking all 40 on the train on Friday.

Biz has a new blog: Swing Time. Read the "about" page so you're not confused. I think it's such a cool idea, and can't wait to see more!

Went to Walgreens today, got that stupid J-14 5foot nsync poster, damn it. <.sigh> I had to. Also bought another Sinful polish...aqua. My nails are practically glowing. Very very blue. I think I'll buy some pink next time.

Watching AFI's top 100 Passion movies. Wish I was watched more closely...I've loved a lot of these. Like, here's the pottery scene from Ghost. That one still leaves me breathless. I'll have to tape the last half hour, as I'll be soundly asleep by then.

Finishing the latest Lucy, Kevin/AJ (when did I start reading BSB only fic???), and then off to bed! Damn, I have SO many fun things to share, but I can't stay awake long enough to do so. : (

June 10, 2002

ahhhhhh

Nine hours. Nine straight hours of forty loud children. I am ready to curl up into a little ball and never come out of bed. Don't get me wrong...sweet kids. Cute kids. Have stories to tell (like the boy with the father who recently had a sex change operation). Love Dominic. Need sleep more though. My God, this was a hellish day. It could have been worse, but let's face it: Mary didn't buy us any games so the kids had almost nothing to play with. I have horrendous allergies and can't breathe, talk clearly, or move without my damn sinuses weighing my head down. Got no lunch hour or even a break, so I had to graze on my lunch throughout the day...some cantelope here, a granola bar there, half a sandwich on the train home. Had to fight for hours before we got playground time...they honestly wanted us to keep the kids in all daylong or walk them to a park. HA! 40 kids, two adults, and a 6 block walk? They must want lawsuits. We'd totally lose them. It's a wild bunch. I could cry, thinking about taking them on a field trip and then to the pool tomorrow. Please, God, let it rain. Please?

Meanwhile, I'm getting almost no e-mail on l-p from YG, and I'm pissed off. Dude, I posted a story and never got it in my mailbox. And these other lists get mail, but it doesn't get delivered to me! I hate that. I signed up for pretty boys stories, and I want them, damn it.

But, sadly, here I am at 7pm going to get my pajamas on and curl up with Josh. Tomorrow is another day. I'll get things done then.

June 08, 2002

great big ol' update

I planned to post today. Not happening. Need sleep. Took me 2 hours to type my story and another 2 to upload these three stories.

Alicia: Scissors is a great JC/Justin story.

Nydia: Enough was written when she visited the beach at Galveston, and is a wonderful Chris story.

Me: My Funny Valentine was started in February and finished this week. Ooops. It's a fun little Valentine's Day Lambs story.

Enjoy and feedback! : ) Now to go to sleep, like I planned to at 5.

first day

Well, I survived. I am exhausted. And I only helped out in the classroom! I can see why the kids are called the demon class, but I also think part of that is the teachers. (One I liked a lot, one I hate...she was such a bitch to the kids. Obviously hated them and her profession. Treated them like crap, and although I'm not sure the kid heard, told one to go play in Ogden Ave. AKA the really busy street.) But, yes. Oh, God, are these kids a handful. And LOUD. My first order of business will be to teach them to be quieter and how to raise their hands to be called on to talk. (Dude, they're finishing kindergaten. They should know how to do that.)

I do love them, though. Alone, they're angels. Put them in some groups and they're terrors. One was so cute....he won't be in summer camp, as he's going to Park District, but he was like, "Miss Rina, I like you a lot. But I won't be in summer camp! Can't you go work in the park district?...Thanks for coming in today, Miss Rina. I'm really having fun with you." Then, he sealed his poisition in my heart by saying, "I like you a lot because you're nice and you're so beautiful. And I love your watch." LOL! He couldn't be, like, 15-20 years older? LOL I did have some great moments with a lot of them, but there were a great deal of times where I was just, "Oh, my GOD, what have I gotten myself into?" I had control of them a few times just me, and I was frazzled. Maybe I'll get used to it.

Oh, but yes, my watch went over very well. LOL The kids loved that it sings and dances, and a lot of them knew the words and sang along. And yeah, I did kinda teach them the "ain't no lie, baby bye bye bye" move. LOL I mean, they were watching the screen, it wasn't that big of a stretch. <.g> Oh, and two little girls kept begging to see JC on it, because Justin is featured so much in the video, and then Chris and Joey kept popping up on the clock. LOL They were cute.

So, that was kinda my day. I don't seem to have a set break time (which is lunch), so I didn't end up eating until 2. That was kind of annoying. But tomorrow, I only have to go in at 1 for a meeting to discuss curriculum and stuff, and then Thursday and Friday I'll work with Dominic to get the rooms ready.

Oh, Dominic! He's my partner...it's kind of weird to have a guy with such young kids, but he's really great. I think we'll have a lot of fun this summer...he's a total sweetheart, obviously loves the kids, loves playing with the toys (we were both having a little too much fun with the magnetic geo-connector things. LOL), and he's reading Harry Potter. <.g> He's about 25 (maybe), a little taller than me (5'5, maybe), and yeah, pretty cute. <.g> Double reason to enjoy working with him. But oh my God, those kids all to myself? There were times today when I could have burst into tears at the thought. But I'm the only one who seems to have a problem with me in this job...well, and my mom, who thinks it's too much responsibility for too little pay. And as a parent, thinks the ratio is horrifying. But everyone else I've talked to thinks this is the perfect job for me, and that I'll kick ass. I'm gonna try and trust them, but man, terrified. <.g>

downtown

Today was so much fun! Liss invited me to go to the Printer's Row book fair thing downtown today with her History club. The club that has 6 members. Of which one, besides Lissa, showed up. <.g> It was this guy named Keven, who Lissa has been wanting to set me up with, so she was pleased.

Anyway, so we headed down late this morning, walked to Miller's Pub on Wabash and Adams, which my mother had told me about last night. When she bartended at Sophie's when I was little, one of the brothers who owns the place would come in to visit Sophie. She said they were in love, had an affair. He proposed, she turned him down, but they were still friends. So she knew this guy pretty well and was telling me all about the restaurant they owned, with the walls lined with pictures of famous people, because *everyone who is everyone and comes to Chicago goes there. So we went, and it was awesome. We sat right next to Humphrey Bogart. <.giggle> I had a taco salad, and ordered a Floridian...absolut manadarin, grand marnier, and orange Crush. It was GREAT, but really really strong. LOL So we ended up watering it down, and Liss drank most of it. LOL

Then off to Printer's Row...I swear, I was in heaven. Three blocks full of old books and posters and stuff! I almost bought some old soda ads from the 30s and 40s...they were so neat. The only thing I bought, though, was a book on Pearl Harbor. I wanna try and find this other book about "Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler," though. Looked very cool.

After that, we just kind of wandered. Went to Walgreens where I got mom some bronze nail polish for her birthday Monday, then to Waldenbooks, where I got, ahem, Twit magazine (Chris's head blocks the s <.g>), then got on the train. We were waiting awhile to pull out, so I grabbed the magazine and started giving Liss and Keven some of the quizzes that nsync took. nsync was highly amusing, especially their thoughts on "coffee," but K&L were hysterical. One was where you ask what word comes to mind with, say, "dog," and it stands for what your personality is. Lissa said cat, and Keven said bark. <.g> Coffee stands for your opinion on sex, Lissa said tea and Keven said plant. LOL It was just downhill. (nsync-wise, Lance said hyper, Joey nasty, Justin something about waking up, JC daily routine, and Chris was double shot <.g>) So then Liss gave him the magazine and he started giving us the male perspective on what they were saying. Totally hysterical. <.g>

So we got home around 6, I had dinner, put on a skirt, and headed over to the theater to see my last play, Dearly Departed. It was great! They had these four choir singers who would come on between scenes every so often and dance. Two were old men, in their 70s, and two were woman about in their 40s. At one point they had on ballet slippers and did leaps and twirls (the old men were best), at other times they did Rockette dances, did soul dances, it was so funny! It's apparently been made into a movie with Whoopi Goldberg and Jada Pinkett Smith, called Come Midnight, or something like that, but apparently it really lost a LOT in the translation. Shame, because it was such excellent writing.

Okay, but now I'm totally exhausted. Not to mention sunburned...but only on the tops of my shoulders. <.g> Gonna finish the latest letterboys story from Lucy and go to bed. : )
