I get SUCH interesting referals.

I get SUCH interesting referals. Things like:
the sims lesbian cracks, the giver gets mad at Jonas, harry ginny potter romance, Eve6 "here's to the night" mp3, fred ron incest slash, MTV Undressed episode downloads, ron having sex with hermione.com, amber benson tara nc-17, west wing slash fiction, dobie gray wavs, online book called "The Giver," TRIPOD GAY teen boys

Ron having sex with Hermione.com sounds very interesting, I think. <.g>

Oh, Beatriz redesigned! I love

Oh, Beatriz redesigned! I love it - the little kid in the picture is adorable.

Did I ever mention that I love Amy's new design, too? I love the colors, and the rainbow links are my favorite. <.g>

Sara set a date for her wedding! Congratulations. {{HUGS}} The rings are lovely.

From Belle and the enneagram test, I am a six:
Primary Intelligence: Mental
Coping Style: Reactive
Social Style: Compliant
Hierarchical Style: Harmony

Sixes seek harmony with the world by complying to group standards. As mental types, they are preoccupied with danger, as their minds think of one dangerous scenario after another. They seek safety through group membership, perhaps because there is safety in numbers. Being keenly aware of the possibility for danger, they can react quickly when something seems amiss. At their best, Sixes make very loyal friends.

I think that sounds about right. I'm known for being in a situation and picturing the worst happening. LOL

And now I'm done with my dailies. I shall go and listen to my mom bitch about the unprofessionalism and incompetance of Josh's team members, as we do his three year review. <.g>

Mom and I watched Rosie

Mom and I watched Rosie yesterday - I was laughing so hard, I cried. They showed clips from when BSB and n sync were there. NSync played this pictionary game, and they were so hysterical. But best of all was BSB - it was the five of them vs. five of their fans, and all the questions were about the BSB. They lost by some 20 odd points. LOL At one point, the question was about Howie, and they were a little horrified that they didn't know a lot about their lives, and so Nick and Kevin reached over, grabbed his hand, and started slamming it on the buzzer. "You're Howie! This is your question! You have to know the answer!" LOL Then there was a question about Nick's old garage band, and he didn't even have a CLUE. LOL It was just so cute.

Also cute was Brad Whitford on the Daily Show. He always wears these tight jeans - I like it. LOL Anyway, he was so fun, and so slashy. <.g> At one point, after they had been joking about Rob Lowe, he turned to the camera and said, "I love you, Rob." It was cute. <.g> Rob Lowe is also very cute - check out this photo, taken by his sons. LOL They're 5 and 7, and it's so adorable! The little one calls his dad "cuddly." <.g>

I come bearing pictures. <.g> I know, I know, getting out of hand lately. This scanner is just too fun. LOL This'll probably be the end of picture talking for awhile, though.

1. Mr. Grumpy Face 30 hours post-op.
2. My grandparents, me, and Josh in December '97. Ignore my hair.
3. My grandparents and I in March. (This didn't scan well. For once, I took a decent picture and it doesn't show. My hair even looked good.)

Fun how my grandmother is the only one of us who hasn't changed. <.g> But you can tell how bad my grandfather has gotten - he's lost so much weight and gotten so pale.

Woo-hoo!! Laura Smith, of Buffy

Woo-hoo!! Laura Smith, of Buffy and Dawson fic writing fame, has a journal!! It's about her stories, inspirations, meanings, etc. I'm very excited. <.g>

Also, I can't wait for tomorrow's AMC! I am so excited about Robin and Anna. Today's flashback was amazing - I remember that!!! That was my favorite scene for years - I was so sad to learn that soaps don't repeat, because I always, always wanted to rewatch it. Now I have it on tape. <.giggle> I must have been, gosh, five or six? Somewhere around there. Great scene. I'm so glad Kim had the role all these years so they could do flashbacks.

I'm watching Now and Then on CBS. I keep meaning to buy the soundtrack - I love the music. Love the movie, too. The commericals billed Brenden Fraser first, but I still haven't seen him in here at all. LOL Oooh, end's coming now, and I love that part. I'm a sucker for any book or movie that gives us a story and then tells what happens to the characters. <.g>

My tapes are organized! I

My tapes are organized! I got rid of a huge amount. Now everything is separated into stacks and labeled - GH, Dawson/Silk Stalkings/Other, new movies, classic movies, WENN, XF, and Buffy. WENN is by far the biggest, since every episode is on its own tape. LOL I know I have the seasons consolidated on to 5 tapes somewhere, so I need to find those and get rid of all of these. Then I'll have an opening in there for West Wing, and a lot of room to grow. LOL Next biggest is XF, which is almost as big as WENN, but each tape is full of only XF stuff. Amazing! LOL I also managed to find my copy of Buffy's finale last year, Restless. Now I can copy it for Jennie!!

So now that the tapes in my entertainment center are done, time to tackle my shelves. There are way less up there, though, so it should be pretty easy to get rid of some and organize the rest. Very cool stuff.

Now if there was only a way to do the same for my books. I just don't have room for any more! Each shelf has two rows, and then books are stacked and piled on top of those. I can't wait to get my own place where I can have bookshelves everywhere!

I'm trying to organize my

I'm trying to organize my videos in an effort to get rid of some. So far, my piles are: Buffy, Dawson, XF, GH, movies, and other. Anyone want a large number of GH episodes from 1996-1998? Mostly Jax, it would seem. LOL I only rewatch the Buffy, DC and XF tapes, so it's pointless to keep GH and other. I haven't even thought about Second Noah in years. Why do I feel the need to keep an episode with Ricky, Ben and Kaylee? Who the hell IS Kaylee?

OH!!!!! is the HP trailer really playing before First Knight and Angel Eyes? One more reason to see the first, and a reason to see the second. I like the HP script writer. I think I'll like what he comes up with.

Oh, look at Ginny Weasley!

Oh, look at Ginny Weasley! What a cutie. And look at the kids' autographs - they have such kiddish writing. LOL I used to write like Emma. <.g>

Oh, now they're singning that other song. Inside Out? I like this version, too.

OOOH! Eve6 is at the

OOOH! Eve6 is at the Mix studio and doing a fabulous live version of Here's to the Night. It rocks! Just vocals and guitars. It sounds different, but I like it a lot.

Hot damn, did yesterday suck.

I'm uploading a picture of Joshy to share with you all. This was taken last Wednesday, when his purple cast was put on. I have another that I scanned, of his first day home, but that didn't come out so I have to rescan it. He was Mr. Grumpyface. <.g> But it was so cute, so I totally have to share. Picture number one:

my brother Josh

Isn't he so cute? <.g> He's my sweetie. The other picture is totally cuter, though. LOL

Ack! Okay, decided to play

Ack! Okay, decided to play Sims after all. I knew it would keep me up too late, but it's fun! LOL So I decided to play with the Lymans tonight, Josh and Donna. In order to get them both promoted to campaign manager, they needed to have two friends. Jen Stibi came over, that was friend number one, thanks to Donna. I had been trying to get Hermione Weasley over, since I knew she and Donna would get along. For people so different, they're remarkably the same. LOL (You won't find Hermione dropping out of college for any guy, but she and Donna both tried to learn everything at school, for example.) But Donna was busy with Jen, so Josh tried to chat her up. Uh-uh, didn't work. LOL They're too much alike, I think. <.g> So anyway, next day Hermione comes over. And I was right, she and Donna did hit it off! Too much. I should have known that Donna wouldn't have an option to move Hermione in if they were just friends. <.g> All I wanted was to get their friendship level high so the Lymans could get promoted! I didn't mean for them to fall in love! So now I'm going to have to have Donna ignore Hermione for awhile, because both women really are happily married. Hermione and Ron have a son, and Josh and Donna are already talking kids. Hopefully they can stay friends after this. <.g>

Anyway, Josh and Donna both got their promotions. As long as they keep their marriage, that's all that counts.

I love this game.

Woo-hoo! Finally pushed myself to

Woo-hoo! Finally pushed myself to update the fun and links pages. Check 'em out! <.g>

Fun night! Sun came out

Fun night! Sun came out at the end of the day, mom and I watched Die Hard and NBC/NGW's Pearl Harbor special and played Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit. I won. <.giggle> But mom really was close. We were both in our houses for the final question, and she would have won if I hadn't done a very lucky guess for mine. LOL It's a really cool game, and mom and I can't wait to play again.

Mmmm, what else? Mom's letting me sleep in until 10 tomorrow. <.g> Very, very late. I'm totally stalled on my XF/Buffy story. It has no plot. Anyone wanna look it over and help me with it? I miss Jennie oodles - I need to e-mail her and see when she'll be online. LOL Biz is gone, too, at the Media*West Con and then home for her sister's wedding. None of my online buddies are here! I'm kinda tempted to play Sims for a little while, but I don't know. I get a little too wrapped up in it. I'll glance up and see it's 3 am or something. LOL

Oh, Stephanie sent me the rest of S2 of West Wing! So last night I was up until 12:30 watching. So much fun - Josh's comment about Donna in a Catholic school uniform, her comment that if he was in an accident, she wouldn't stop for a red light, his comment about her tough love equipment. They have such an interesting relationship. LOL But I also watched Two Cathedrals and cried at the funeral bits, and all those lovely flashbacks, but I also now want to listen to Dire Straight's Brothers in Arms. So I believe I shall.

I love rain. Really, I

I love rain. Really, I do. It's so much fun to sit in front of a big window with a book and music, and just relax. I love the sound, I love the look, I love the grey skies. But you know what? I'm on day five of rain. I'm going crazy. I can't be with people anymore, because I'm too crabby. My mood is as dark as the skies. I'm miserable! I hate this feeling. It's like everything is awful, and nothing will ever go right. I really need to cheer myself up, but my family is sabotaging every effort I make. If I could just have half an hour to be by myself in my bright room with the oldies on, I could recharge myself and not be the bitch monster from hell. But no. I have to go out with them. I have to help cook. Mom needs to come up here and say mindless, stupid things to me. As much as I hate my summer job, I'd give anything to be out of here. But no. I have to spend time with my family, and as much as I love them, they're making me feel worse.

ACK! Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth, GH)

ACK!

Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth, GH) and Michael Saucedo (ex-Juan, GH) will marry in a private ceremony on June 1, according to an announcement on Herbst's official web site. The young couple is also expecting their first child.

Did we know this?

I am so in love

I am so in love with Amy's Alex!! I am such a cat person, and so completely allergic. It's awful. I keep seeing these commercials for some medicine, Zyban or Zoltec or something, where this woman is allergic to cats, takes these pills, and gets to cuddle with her pet. I want that, damn it! <.g>

You know, I really miss

You know, I really miss BlogVoices. I can't even get into the site, though, so I'm afraid to move my codes back in. <.g> I forgot to mention - yesterday, we stopped at Victoria's Secret, and I saw the cutest bra. It was purple, with a little rhinestone heart in the middle. LOL I thought immediately of Krissy. <.g> What reminded me was that I also never mentioned that Josh got a cast put on yesterday, and it's also purple. <.g> We had thought he might get a removeable cast, but no way says the doctor. Still has to be completely immobile. You can imagine how happy Josh is with that. LOL

OH MY GOD! OH MY

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!! I got my grades!!!!! I pulled off Bs in BOTH SAC and Hearing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How the fucking hell did I do that?!?!?! Oh my GOD!! Sure, I wanted As and only got Bs, but I didn't get any Cs!!!!!!! This could have gone SO much worse, I swear to God. How did I get Bs in those classes???? I can't believe it! My GPA is a 3.1, which is a B, so I definitely have to do better next semester, but for now, I am so happy.

Yay, Buffy and Angel reruns!

Yay, Buffy and Angel reruns! Only, BAD because I can't watch!!!!!! It's on opposite West Wing.

Beginning June 6, "Buffy" will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m., while the regular occupant of the time period, "Felicity," will take the summer off.

"Buffy" spinoff "Angel," which is scheduled to run Mondays at 9 p.m. next season, will move into its new slot beginning June 4, replacing another UPN-bound series, "Roswell," which will not air during the summer.

Oh, well. I get a summer without Buffy, anyway! And I still don't know if I'll get Buffy in the fall. Even if I do, I won't be able to watch with J or Gen anymore, unless they tape to watch with me. <.sigh> I hate WB.

Here's the full Joss interview.

Here's the full Joss interview. He also says that Tony/Giles is the only cast change. <.sigh> He says Amber is staying at recurring, which doesn't jive with what Amber has talked about. Plus he says October for the premiere, but UPN's president said August. Somewhere along the line, communication wires are being crossed. LOL But UPN can start advertising now, which is cool!

TVGO: What was up

<.whimper>

TVGO: What was up with Giles killing Ben? Is that going to be the beginning of a trend?

Whedon: No, that's just the thing he had to do. And you know, Giles will be recurring next year instead of a regular because [Anthony Stewart Head is] going to live in England. We're working on a BBC [spinoff] show for [that character]. So, it's a side of Giles you're more likely to see on his show then you are on Buffy. But, it's not like he's not going to become an evil killer or anything.

Another generator, this time from

Another generator, this time from Biz's husband. LOL

This is so funny!

<.snicker> This is so funny! LOL

What wasn't funny was Buffy....OH. MY. GOD. Even though I know it can't be what it seems...OH MY GOD. And Angel rocked. But the end! Oh my God!

I'm saying that a lot during these season finales. Only thing keeping me sane is that Buffy premieres in August. Which could easily screw up Angel, but that's their tough break, not mine. LOL

Okay, all bets are off,

Okay, all bets are off, spoiler space no more. X-FILES!!!! All these years that I have been a fan have paid off in a beautiful way. I still can't believe it. I watch that scene often. Scully naming him William after Mulder's father. Although instead of that long pause while they stared meaningfully into each other's eyes, I would have preferred him to say, "And your father," and let her respond, "And you," and they'd even have had a few seconds of staring before Mulder grinned and went into his, "Well, he has your hair and coloring, but I think he looks suspiciously like AD Walter Skinner." <.giggle> That would have really cemented the moment for me. But they KISSED!!!!!!! For seriously like 45 seconds. With good lighting so we have screenshots, unlike the kiss from Triangle. William Mulder. ::happy sigh:: What a fanfic-y name. I don't even care. They have a baby TOGETHER. Next season, we won't see it, but they'll be raising their son TOGETHER. Chris Carter is such a wonderful man. I don't care that 75% of the episode bored me and I read through it. He made up for it and then some with that last scene. What a wonderful way to end the season, with that kiss. Fans who watch only for M&S and don't plan to watch S9 have full and complete emotional closure, in the best way possible. Mulder and Scully are a couple. Oh frabjous day!

Now to read the 95 messages that are waiting for me in my Scullyfic folder.

May 20, 2001

Oh, my God, oh, my

Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God. OH MY GOD! X-Files. ::weeps:: Oh my God. I shrieked. Loudly, but I tried to muffle it in my hands. Didn't do such a good job, but OH MY GOD! Blessings on thee, Chris Carter.

Via Kristine, I found the true story about Kaycee. Kinda stunned me for awhile. But it didn't surprise me. From the frist day I read her blog, something felt off. Things weren't exactly right, she was a little too perfect. I told myself that I was being silly, I had to work on my trust issues. So I trusted, and I kept along with her story. And it was just that - a story. It doesn't change anything for me. Of the hundreds of people I have met online, I have only met Kristine in person. As well as I know (or think I know) people, there's always some degree of unrealness. Kaycee had a definite impact on my life, and that won't change by realizing she was a fictional character. I'm a reader. This isn't the first time a character in a story touched my life. It's the first time I thought a character was a real person and wasn't, yes, but it doesn't change what I learned from her.

Take each day one at a time. Live life to the fullest, show love to everyone you can. Look inside yourself and you'll find strength.

Don't stay upset that Kaycee isn't real. Real or not, she affected all of us, and that's what needs to be kept in mind. Remember what she brought to our lives, and pass that on.

Now that I've reread my post, I do believe it's time for bed. Got a wee bit maudlin and overbearing right about there. <.g> Probably only I could manage to do both.

On Monday night, a firefighter

On Monday night, a firefighter died during training. He was the first one to die on duty in the history of Western Springs. So, today was his funeral. They blocked off most of the streets, and there was this huge procession through town on the way to the cemetary. First came all of the fire and police chiefs from all the suburbs - there were some towns that I didn't even recognize. Then the WS police and fire fighters came. They did a stop in front of the fire station, right down the street from me. The color guards stood at attention, and the church bells rang. Then they did the sirens and a minute of silence. The color guard people marched out of the way, and they started the procession again. After all the cars, they had a fire truck that was just brimming with flowers. Then the next truck was draped with black and purple bunting, and that's where the casket was. It was all just so amazing. There were all these people outside watching to pay their respects, and it was so sad and solemn and beautiful. He was only 54 years old. He had just retired from his first job, and he then wanted to be a fire fighter. At least he got his wish for a short while.

Man, can I sympathize, Amy.

Man, can I sympathize, Amy. <.g> I was raised Catholic, and even thought I disagree with so many of the basic principles, it's too ingrained for me to really do all I want with Wicca. Everything I read about that religion fits me, but I can't shake the feeling that I'm doing something I shouldn't be! I wish I knew a way to get over this.

Oh, my GOD Ingo looks

Oh, my GOD Ingo looks awful! <.shudder> Ick. Brown hair, cut in this, like, cap shaped thing. I can't believe I have to put up with him again. At least Brenda's not coming back!

I'm still on the Civil War, audio wise. Rob Lowe has read twice - General Custer before he was general, and this guy named Johhny at Gettysburg. I just love his voice. For some reason, when he enunicates, it's very sexy. LOL I also heard Noah Wyle at least once, and also Juliana Marguiles. Very cool. I can't wait for World War II!

Mom had a good idea

Mom had a good idea - I am now stealing all of my camp ideas from Kaleidoscope. LOL They have such fabulous summer classes for kids - they even have a Harry Potter one! That would be so cool.

Daddy and I are going to pick up the audio War Letters book today!!! Possibly not smart, since I've been happier NOT reading that (almost every letter is from someone who died days after it was written), but I'm still really excited. I wonder if he got CD or tape. LOL

Josh's first PT session was today, and now I'm reading Long Live the Queen by Ellen Emerson White. It's a book about Meg Powers, the daughter of the first female president. She gets kidnapped and eventually has to go through PT, which is why I thought of it today. LOL It's one of my favorite books - I really need a new copy! Mine has pages that have fallen out and are just lying in there. But it's not being printed anymore, and I don't trust myself to head to eBay. <.g> This is the last in a trilogy, actually. I also have a copy of the first book (which I didn't find until years after I read this one), but I've never even seen the second book, White House Autumn, anywhere. LOL Kind of a key, pivotal book, too - she and Josh become just friends, her mom is shot, etc. I'm going to head over to eBay, I can just tell.

Why is cdnow.com in German?

Why is cdnow.com in German? I mean, I understand German and therefore can still navigate the site, yet I am still confused.

Cool. When "Buffy the Vampire

Cool.

When "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" moves to its new home this fall it will premiere on UPN with a two-hour episode.

The network says that the special extended "Buffy" will re-introduce the premise of a young woman who's destined to defend humanity from the things that go bump in the night for new viewers, while moving the story set up by writers Joss Whedon and Marti Noxon forward for faithful fans.

I've been feeling out of

I've been feeling out of sorts today. I don't know why - I'm cranky, sad, bitchy, whiny, and not PMSing. <.g> I put away War Letters and my HP story for a few days, since maybe that's contributing. ER totally didn't help though - I spent the entire hour biting my knuckles with a racing heart. Talk about gripping drama! Damn. It was just incredible. As was Friends - I knew things weren't as they seemed, but didn't guess what happened. I'll actually talk about that tomorrow (even though every time I say that, I don't) so as to not spoil west coast fans who should NOT miss this. I'm glad I taped ER for Kerry's scenes, which once again I didn't get to pay attention to because Dad was watching. Grrrrr. I'd be so excited if Elizabeth Mitchell gets to be a regular next season!

Oooh, Bradley Whitford is on my welcome screen tonight. I've entered many times to win a trip to the set and lunch with a star - every day, I get Dani to also register me. LOL The beauty of 3 AOL names. <.g>

Maybe I should work on my Tara/Scully story. That's a happy fun story, unlike everything else I'm writing now. I could go for happy right now. I haven't felt like this in awhile.

UPN got Roswell!!!!! - Monday

UPN got Roswell!!!!!

- Monday kicks off with ``The Hughleys'' at 8 p.m., followed by ``One on One.'' The 9 p.m. block remains the same, with ``The Parkers'' leading into ``Girlfriends.''

- Tuesday: ``Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' keeps its Tuesdays at 8 p.m. time slot, followed by ``Roswell'' at 9 p.m.

- Wednesday: Newcomer ``Star Trek: Enterprise'' takes the 8 p.m. slot, an hour
earlier than where predecessor ``Star Trek: Voyager'' had resided. Midseason sci-fi
hour ``Special Unit 2'' airs at 9 p.m.

- Thursday: `WWF Smackdown!'' body slams its way onto Thursdays for a third year.

- Friday: After having tried (and failed) to capitalize on ``Smackdown!'' by airing series on Friday, UPN brings back its Friday night movie.

Among midseason contenders, ``The Dead Zone,'' starring Anthony Michael
Hall and Nicole deBoer (I added this as I know Nicole is in the series as well!), is expected to make the cut. Series not returning include 7 Days,''``All Souls,'' ``Celebrity Deathmatch,'' ``Chains of Love,'' ``Freedom,''``Gary & Mike'' and ``Level 9.''

Now I just have to find out when my stupid UPN-on-WB will air it.

Dawson was good last night

Dawson was good last night - only bad thing was that Dad was in the room while I watched! <.sigh> Meaning I didn't get to hear Jack call Tobey his boyfriend (if he even did) in front of Andie because I had to turn the channel in order to not piss him off. I did get to see them wash the car because Dad was with Josh, though. : ) : ) That was so cute - wish I had taped it. I also loved Pacey standing up to his teacher, who then let him retake the test.

West Wing made me cry. It was just incredible. The flashbacks - Jed and Mrs. Landingham had a very Josh/Donna relationship. The banter was there, and she was challenging him to be who she knew he could. Amazing to see. And to see such a devout Catholic standing in the Cathedral and hollering at God in English and Latin - just, wow. Totally Emmy-worthy. The pain and anger and frustration was just palpable. I burst into tears when he called Josh his son and really didn't stop for the entire episode. It wasn't really a cliffhanger, because I think it was obvious that he had made his decision when he put his hands in his pockets and turned away with a smile. He was going to fight with all of his being, and good for him. The whole episode, he wasn't himself - he didn't know numbers, trivia, he wasn't talking. Then Mrs. L came one last time to kick him in the ass, and he took up her challenge. Can't wait to see it again.

Oh, and I was at the Kitten boards this morning - in this week's Angel, there was this hilarious scene with this guy Nunbar doing the dance of joy, and the dance of honor. Jennie and I were cracking up. Then, I found out that the guy playing Nunbar was none other than Joss Whedon!! I have to rewatch it, knowing that it's him. <.giggle>

My dad's driving me nuts - wish we didn't need him around so much this week. We could all use a break! I'm going in for an inservice at Therapeutic Interactions on Tuesday, and I'm so nervous! I need ideas. <.sigh> But I'm also going to get a job at the front desk there in the afternoons - greeting clients, answering questions, computer work, some filing. Should be fun. : )

Love People Living Brighly. Joey

Love People Living Brighly. Joey POV, seems to be rather Joey/Josh shippy, which I like. Even though I'm Donna/Josh. LOL

Yep, definitely J/J, as evidenced by the sequel. LOL Nicely written.

Josh is home! Bit crabby

Josh is home! Bit crabby and pain-filled, but zoning happily on Vicodin. Yeah, that would be the stuff Matthew Perry was addicted to. We're hoping for happier results with Josh. <.g>

Daddy bought me the War Letters book, now I just need the audio! I'm so excited - some of the letters I've skimmed are incredible so far.

Watching Buffy, missing Jennie. Back later, hopefully.

May 14, 2001

Well, back from the hospital.

Well, back from the hospital. LONG day. At the hospital at 6, Josh went in at 7:30, recovery room at 11:30, hospital room at 2. At last check, he was running a fever of 101 and throwing up a little. <.sigh> My poor little baby.

I have come back to, among other things, over 100 pieces of Scullyfic mail. Yay.

This is my first bit of alone time since I came home - Dad is running some stuff over to mom at the hospital. I have the Christy movie on. I don't like the recast for Kellie Martin, and I don't like that so far they're rewriting history. History was perfect in the first place. I know this, I have read the book by Catherine Marshall zillions of times!

YAY! Book a Million just called - my War Letters book is in!!!!!! Daddy will take me to get it tonight or tomorrow, I'm sure of it.

Absolutly no clue if Blogger

Absolutly no clue if Blogger will ever update for me again. <.g> Ah, well. I finally got my computer put back together (all by myself, yay me!) and am online on it. Good thing, 'cause several of my lists have sent me a lot of mail. <.wince> Ooops.

Anyway, I got the Buffy book and Connie Willis' new one, plus a YoYo Ma CD and Cybill Shepard's book last night. Mom and I watched the WW pilot and then my favorite episode, The Stackhouse Fillibuster, which also totally blew her away.

We opted to celebrate mothers day with fathers day, since we're all on edge with Josh's surgery tomorrow. We leave at 5:30 am, he should be in by 6, and then we spend all day waiting. Mom and Josh spend the night, dad and I come home. I get to do the mass e-mail and phone call thing, which should be fun. We pick them up Tuesday morning, and the hell truly begins. LOL But prayers and happy thoughts will most surely be appreciated. My poor little iggy koopa. <.sigh> He has his little wheechair, and a little hospital tray for his bed. Hes so good at getting around with the brace on, I hope it goes half as well with the cast.

May 12, 2001

Well, here I am, at

Well, here I am, at home. I pulled the plug on Josh's modem so I had time to write a little. <.g> Yesterday wasn't a good birthday, as birthdays go. Dad came at 2, moved out until 4, ended up hvaing Mexican for lunch because there wasn't time for dinner, not home until after 7, so I didn't even get pie or sung to, since Josh had to go to bed. That was pretty disappointing. I did open presents - new watch, money for shopping, and a Border's gift card. Then came the only really fun part of the day - mom and I watched a few WW eps and drank the raspberry mocha chip frappachinos from Starbucks that Daddy got us. We're going to watch a few more tonight, after I get back from Border's with Daddy. Connie Willis's book came out last week, and I'm very excited. The War Letters book and tape I want isn't out until Wednesday, so I'll have to go back next weekend. Darn. Oh, and my aunt Margaret is going to take me to the Sing-Along Sound of Music in two weeks, then I'll spend the night over by them. She's upset about my cousin Rachel's decisions, so I get to be the good kid. LOL It's going to be fun, I think.

That's about it for now. Today kinda sucked, too, but it's getting better. Yummy dinner (pork tenderloin. <.g> I let myself splurge.) and tonight should be fun. I love the discussions mom and I have on West Wing and all of the issues. It's pretty cool.

May 11, 2001

Jen and I are taking

Jen and I are taking pictures of each other. I have to scan in the one I have of her. <.giggle> She took one of me, and much to my delight and her disappointment, I'm a darkened blob and the trees show perfectly. LOL So we tried again, and it's still not liking me. But the trees look great!

Daddy's at Sam's Club now, and then will come get me so we can load up the car before going to a late lunch.

I'm so sad! I had fun this semester. I'm not ready for it to be over yet.

Woo-hoo! We're getting yummy Mexican

Woo-hoo! We're getting yummy Mexican food tonight. I *love queso fundido. I'm quite sure I spelled that wrong. LOL My best friend from elementary school, Griselda, her family owned a restaurant called De Colores. Probably spelled that wrong, too, I'm German girl. LOL Anyway, we obviously went there very often, because they have the best food EVER and because it was Gris's family. One day when I was about 8, we were ordering there and her mom included an order of it because she thought I would like it. Boy, do I ever. LOL I haven't found a restaurant yet that could make it so well, but it's a little too far to drive to now. When we lived in Chicago, it was about 4 blocks down the street, but then we moved and then they moved. <.g> But this place in La Grange is one of the best we've found since.

I really don't want to pack. LOL It's somewhat lumped together, though. I'll dump my shelves into one tub, my closet into another, drawers into a third, and leave the fourth for misc stuff. But I should really do my dishes now. LOL

Wow, this feels so very

Wow, this feels so very early! LOL But the sun is shining. And somehow, Dore got my r@ address, so I have woken up to several Angel birthday wishes. Both are very nice things. <.g>

Okay, I wrote the above before my final, at 6:35 am. <.g> Maybe now blogger is happier. Anyway, I don't think I failed the final. Most definitely didn't get a C+, unless my gut responses helped me more than I thought. LOL As we were walking back, Lauren stopped suddenly. And seeing as how we were crossing a street, this is bad. <.g> Anyway, she was like, "Oh, my GOD! I just realized you're twenty! You're not a teenager anymore! You're so old! I'm going to be twenty soon. I don't have any more excuses!" LOL

Then I got back to my dorm, and Jen had my presents waiting for me - Harry Potter pencil case and address book! <.g> She said she looked for West Wing stuff, but couldn't find any. <.giggle> I'm really excited about the pencil case - I kinda have this huge collection of pens lying around everywhere. LOL She also sent me a HP card - Hermione dreaming of Ron! LOL Then she sent me a "whippersnapper" card with an ancient rooster rollerblading down the street. <.giggle>

Now I must pack, because my Daddy will be here in a few hours to get me, and I don't really have a lot packed. <.g>

But hey - I'm in my *twenties* now!

May 10, 2001

<.whimper>

ARGH! I should be excited

ARGH! I should be excited about spending my last few hours as a teenager, and instead, I'm feeling sick over this final. Literally sick. And tonight's ER didn't help much. I loved Abby and her mom, but Bonnie and that little boy made me want to cry. Next week should be excellent, though.

I just want to do so good on this test, and I don't think I will. I really want to think positive thoughts, and I can't manage to get any out. <.sigh> That makes me sad.

Joy just e-mailed me my

Joy just e-mailed me my SAC final exam grade - 78. Not bad, I guess. Certainly could have been a lot worse.

I'm checking my mail for the first time in over a month. I was rather surprised to see a message from my friend Bess, a Gangster babe, entitled "Gotcha!" She's stalking me through my school website. <.giggle>

I've been sitting on my

I've been sitting on my bed, doing math for the last 20 minutes. I know it all! I love math. Math is wonderful. Math will help me not fail the test tomorrow! Beautiful, beautiful math.

I called my mom back (this was, like, our third phone conversation of the day) to tell her Hello, Dolly is on at 7. She laughed at me, said I was weird. <.g> We talked a little about how her mom is insane, then we started talking about tomorrow. She reminded me that it's going to take at least two hours to load the van before we get on the road, so we're talking not being home until about 6:30. Icky. <.g> BUT she said that we had to watch WW tomorrow. Then she turned that into, "We'll kick dad upstairs (they'd been sleeping on the foldout couch to be near Josh) and stay up and watch hours and hours of West Wing." <.giggle> I'm really excited about that. Granted, she breaks 95% of any plans she makes with me, but the idea is still really cool and fun! So I might get to stay up with much coffee and have fun with her. She hasn't seen Joey Lucas' first episode, and she loves the cartographer episode, so those two will be on our list. I hope she doesn't back out on this. I'd love to watch with her. Lots of fun things to talk about.

Lauren just IMed me. She said her friend figured out that she currently had a 78% in Hearing, and needed an 83% on the final to get a B-. I have a 83% right now, so I'm guessing I need around a 78% to get a B-. LOL I don't know how doable that is, but the test is curved. I got a 74% on both the first and third tests, and an 86% on the second, so maybe I can pull off a C+ on the final. I'd like that.

Just got off the phone

Just got off the phone with mom. She's making me feel a lot better. I really am upset that I won't be getting any As this semester, and she was like, don't be. The students who are getting As right now are the ones who are doing almost nothing but studying, and there's no way I could ever do that. I have too many interests, between the listservs, sib stuff, friendships, etc. My grades are showing that I worked hard in my classes, but I worked hard at other things in my life that I consider to be important, too. I still don't quite believe that, though. All I can think is that I could have put so much more effort into classes and less into, say, West Wing. She's trying to tell me that I'm being "intellectually stimulated" by WW, though, and that it's fostering my already existing interest in politics. Which I guess is true, but not exactly helping my current classes, you know? ARGH! I just wanted to do so much better this semester than last, and I'm not going to! After all this work, I may even do worse, and that makes me just want to cry. I'm so frustrated. I want to do well, but the more I try, the less well I do. I don't even want to bother trying anymore.

And this is me feeling a lot better. Scary, huh?

Uh-oh. Jennie's going to kill

Uh-oh. Jennie's going to kill me. Let's hope she doesn't read this until my birthday. <.g>

I have OLTL on while I pack. The new Sam started this week. He's not Kale Brown, no one could ever equal him. But, uh....<.sigh> He's really cute, all right?! And he can act well. He has chemistry with Nora. I think OLTL did okay.

Please don't hurt me!

I. Hate. Packing. I hate

I. Hate. Packing.

I hate it. With a passion. It's just not GOING ANYWHERE! I threw out a bunch of papers and notebooks, but I still have SO MUCH. It'll be easy to pack into tubs tomorrow, but until then, there's so little I can do! And mom keeps stressing about wanting me home ASAP, and while I want to be home, too, I want to watch AMC with Jennie. I want to cry after I fail my final. I don't want it to be run and go, because I want to have a little more relaxing time and say goodbye to Jen.

I should have sold my books back. At this point, I'm ready to throw most of them out just to get rid of them. I'm getting ready to throw a LOT of things out, including food and stuff that I'm sure I'll want next year but don't want to hang onto until then. <.sigh> This sucks.

I do not want to

I do not want to pack, I do not want to study.

I need to take a shower. <.sigh>

May 09, 2001

Took the Life colors test

Took the Life colors test from Kristine....11 sensitive tan, 10 crystal, 10 violet, 9 green, 9 blue. Pretty cool! I think that all actually sounds pretty spot on. Especially since the blue page has Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip dancing. <.giggle> Some of them seem rather at odds, but they all have elements of truth, I think.

Someone at the Bartlet campaign

Someone at the Bartlet campaign is going to have to be sacrificed, like this story says. I don't want to lose any of the cast members!! It canNOT be Josh. Leo would be hard, but it's not the show without Josh. I bet it's Leo, though, and that will nearly kill the administration. He does too much. Next season is going to be pretty damn rough.

I love West Wing. Oh,

I love West Wing. Oh, shut up, I know you know. But I love learning new things! Like CJ's Cartographer's for Social Equality and their Peters Projection Map. Germany's not where we think it is! Africa's huge! Europe is nearly insignificant! Alaska is smaller than Mexico! Just look at that map. This should be changed! Britain uses this map exclusively in their schools, and the US should do the same.

I think I'm getting a little wound up. LOL But this is fascinating!

West Wing made me

<.sigh> West Wing made me cry. I had heard the rumor and still, I cried. I'm so sad. I'm happy mom and I are watching it next week though - we can cry together. <.g> It's just....wow. Huge wow.

Twisted crust pizza ROCKS, BTW. We totally devoured it. <.g> Room's a mess, though. LOL I really do need to study, too. Review session was a waste of time - it was exactly what we did yesterday. <.sigh> I don't know how well I'll do on the test. I just don't want to study. And when I get there, I won't want to do anything because it's my birthday. It's a lose-lose situation.

I'm not looking forward to

I'm not looking forward to the review session this evening. It's not so much the actual review as it is the getting there - I had this huge blister on the back of my foot. It has now enlarged to also be under my foot. It hurts to walk, and it's driving me insane! Totally urgh in a huge way.

Kate's coming over tonight for pizza and West Wing. Jen and I have been planning on getting that twisted crust pizza for a while now, and time has pretty much run out. LOL So, we're getting it tonight for Dawson and West Wing, and Kate's going to join us. I really wish Jen would just give in and admit that she likes WW, although we're having a lot of fun fighting about it. <.g>

GH sucks, I think I'm going to rewatch Somebody's Going to Emergency, Somebody's Going to Jail. <.g>

Yay, Carol said she recommend

Yay, Carol said she recommend me for a clerical job at the speech clinic in the afternoons. That would help immensely, not having to move to a different location for two jobs a day. <.g>

I also saw Somebody's Going to Emergency, Somebody's Going to Jail - I LOVED it. New top five favorite episode. LOL CJ and the cartagrophers for social equality - I have to find the transcript of that somewhere. <.g> It was even better than Pluie and the wolves-only highway from last year. I do know that I had something else to say, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. LOL Ooops.

Woo-hoo!!!! Meg wrote a XF-WW

Woo-hoo!!!! Meg wrote a XF-WW crossover story called Dead Tape. Mulder and Scully visit Pres. Bartlet because Mulder's having some problems becoming legally alive after being legally dead. <.g> It's laugh-out-loud funny in places, and teary-eyed sweet in others. Characterization is spot on, and oh, I love this story!

So I have three more eps on the season 2 tape, only one of which I haven't seen yet. So I'll watch that one today, and be done! <.g> Buffy and Angel rocked last night. I missed about 20 minutes of Buffy because Erin called - she's the one person I'll miss Buffy for. LOL I love talking with her. : ) But Angel kicked ass - I loved seeing Wes and Angel poking at each other, and Angel was so cute and gleeful. <.giggle> Oh, and Wes has handcuffs. LOL Love it. <.g>

May 08, 2001

Wow. Okay, I talked with

Wow. Okay, I talked with my mom a lot today. (She's really excited I love West Wing. <.g>) Anyway, she was talking to her friend Carol, who works at the SLP clinic where I'm going to be working this summer. They're doing this morning summer camp for kids with special needs and their sibs, and it combines speech and occupational therapy with camp stuff. So mom asked Carol if her son Bretty would be going to Janet's camp, and Carol was like, "Well, yeah. Only around here, we call it Janet and Rina's camp." Somewhere between my calling Janet and saying, "I heard you're looking for staff" and now, I got promoted into RUNNING THE DAMN CAMP! It's my freaking camp! I don't know anything about camps. I never even went to a camp. ::whimper:: Everyone's like, "Oh, it's going to look so good on your resume," and mom adds, "You know Janet's gonna offer you a job after you graduate. This is practice. It'll look good." Which is all well and good, but I think it would look better IF I KNEW WHAT THE HELL I WAS DOING! Which I don't!

I'm a little nervous.

Ah, what a morning. LOL

Ah, what a morning. LOL After my 1am post, I headed over to Yahoo, checking out what other WW groups I could find. Nothing for Josh and Joey, but I did find Josh/CJ and Josh/Sam, so I joined them. <.g> I also found CJ/Toby, which I think I'll join today. Yes, I realize the idiocy of joining more lists right before I go home. LOL That's the joy of OE - I can sign on for a minute and download the mail, then read offline. <.g>

So, I went to bed at 2am. Briefly woke at 9:30, hearing Jen leave. Went back to bed, despite my original plan of waking up in time to get to breakfast, which ended at 9. <.g> Woke up again at 10:36, and decided that it was time. Sat down in front of my computer, confronted with messages from Lauren. "I'll meet you at 10:40. Are you there? Gooler at 11? I'll see you in the lobby in a few minutes." I stare, dumbfounded. The phone rings. "Where are you?" ACK! I seriously thought our review session was tomorrow! LOL I got dressed in 3 minutes, dragged a brush through my hair and ran. <.g> Got my last two tests back, though - B+ on one and a C on the other. Yay! I might pull off a B in this class after all. That'd be awesome.

But I think I've studied enough for now. <.g> I do believe I hear the call of season two. LOL

Ryan O'Neal is 60? I

Ryan O'Neal is 60? I just can't believe that. He doesn't look much older than he did during Love Story! I hope he's able to fight his cancer.

Gangster Babes are apparently systematically getting spammed by some idiot who doesn't like us anymore. Karen got a note calling us all bitches (bitc*es, actually), and now I got a note telling me and two others in the group to "F off." Obviously we're dealing with a highly mature person. Wouldn't you think there are better ways of saying you want off a list than anonymously spamming people and calling them names? I bet it's Ann, but I hadn't thought she would do something like that. I never liked her very much, though. She was against inclusion.

Only took me three days

Only took me three days to get through all of season one. <.giggle> Not bad, huh? I realized shortly into the season finale that I had seen that ep before - mom had made me watch it. I knew I had remembered a scene about which way the eagle faced during a war, because there was no way I would think of that question on my own. LOL It was amazing watching the last scene, knowing what happened. I saw Sam pushing CJ to the ground. I saw Josh with that look of shock and horror on his face as he was propelled into the gate by the bullet. I could just cry about it. I also realized that while I am definitely a Josh/Donna fan and always will be, Josh and Joey are just awesome. I loved when they were all waiting for polling results in the oval office, he asked her this rather long and ridiculous question, ending with, "What do you have to say to that?" and she blew a raspberry at him. LOL So I guess Josh is my Willow - I'm really quite happy no matter who he's with. Which isn't to say I'm not glad that Joey is setting him up with Donna nearly as much as Donna's settng him up with Joey. LOL

And now I think it's time for me to go to sleep. Maybe tomorrow I can start talking about things not related to a TV show. Things people might actually be interested in reading about.

Or maybe I can watch season two.

May 07, 2001

Just got back from Kate's

Just got back from Kate's - took a break from the great WW marathon of '01. <.g> Anyway, we had a very yummy dinner, a chili dip. Spread cream cheese on the bottom of a dish, dump and spread beanless chili on that, and then put shredded cheese over that. Microwave 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted, and dig in. Horribly fattening and yet so very very yummy. LOL

Now taking a break for Boston Public and possibly Ally before restarting WW. I only have about 5 more episodes in season one, after all. <.g>

Finished episode fifteen of West

Finished episode fifteen of West Wing today. <.g> Amazing, amazing, amazing. Take this Sabbath Day is now on my list of top five. Joey Lucas' first episode - I know that I am a die-hard Josh/Donna fan and I do honestly believe they belong together. But I seriously, completely love Joey Lucas!! I want her to stay on and be their friend, because she is one of the most kickass characters I have ever come across on any show! I laughed so hard my stomach hurt - Josh and Donna, Josh and Joey, Josh and Kenny. Josh in Sam's yellow hip waders after waking up in champagne soaked clothes after a bachelor's party. <.giggle> I was also laughing hysterically during Celestial Navigations with CJ's root canal and Josh as the stand in press secretary. And don't let her fool you - so was Jen. <.g> She's all, "Oh, this show is okay, I suppose, but nothing special," and she was laughing more than I was. LOL But depsite how much I laughed at these episodes, those aren't the scenes that make me love the episodes. In Sabbath, the whole capital punishment subject was dealt with in such an amazing way, with all of the religious takes and confusion, and there is no easy answer. And with CN, the best scene was with Toby and Mendoza in the cell...I mean, wow. Really wow. No wonder my mother still remembers that scene so clearly.

Anyway, yes, this was my day so far. LOL Woke up at 9:30, read my mail, took a shower, settled into West Wing. LOL I'm taking advantage of this - there's no way in hell I'm going to get ten minutes to myself once I get home. I'll start reviewing hearing tomorrow - Lauren and I are meeting with Dave to go over our tests on Wednesday, and that will help. But in the mean time? DC, baby!

May 06, 2001

LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!! Oh my GOD Jen

LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!! Oh my GOD Jen and I are dying, laughing over here!!!!!!!!! The whole XF is all continuity, right? And Leyla gets all the continuity lines. So she's in the hospital at the very end and says she has a question for M&S - when he went to Antarctica to save Scully and the sno-cat ran out of gas, how did they get back? Which is the question people have been asking for 3 years now! LOL And then M&S start bickering about whether or not it was a speceship and Scully's like, "And then I hugged you until you warmed up," as Doggett is watching them and laughing softly, and it was SOOOOOOOO cute and funny and I love love loved it!!!

LOL!! Kate just called me. That is so funny, because I'm seeing DisneyK right here on my buddy list. LOL But it was fun, I like talking on the phone sometimes. <.g> She agreed with me and Jen - we'd happily watch XF next season if it was Doggett and Harrison. They had great chemistry, and she was a fun, interesting, intelligent character. I liked her a hell of a lot more than I do Reyes.

Last episode before XF started

Last episode before XF started was the first season Christmas episode. It kicked ass. I love when Donna opened up her present, and Josh said he had it inscribed and she started crying and hugged him! He totally hugged back and buried his face in her shoulder, and was totally all serious because he SO loves her. LOL That was a great scene for them. And it was made J/D perfect by Donna asking, arms still clutched around him, if it would have killed him to give her skis, and he said yes, still hugging her. <.g>

Anyway, so I'm watching XF now. I love Leyla Harrison, and I love that there have been no less than six continuity lines so far. Continuity! On XFiles! I'm going to cry. How beautiful.

Just spent 45 minutes on

Just spent 45 minutes on the phone with my family. See, I get all "I don't want to go home" and then I talk to them. <.g> Mom and I analyzed West Wing and GH, she told me about Josh's new room, etc. Oh! She also told my about my friend Julia's brother Chad. Chad's graduating on Sunday, from here, with a major in computer something. His thesis is on artificial intelligence, and that's also what his master's is going to be on. He's really into the research. So when you have this major and are looking for a summer internship, where's the place you want to go? Yes, that's right, Microsoft. <.g> They're paying to fly him out to Seattle, setting up his housing, etc, and he gets to do a summer internship researching artifical intelligence. Not only that, but he's getting paid twice as much per week as his mom does as an SLP consultant. Can you believe that? How totally awesome for him! He gets to meet Bill Gates and everything!

I think I have a

I think I have a another favorite for my top five WWs - The Crackpots and These Women. I find it unusual that so far, my two favorite episodes don't really have anything that could be construed as Josh/Donna. Hell, there's nothing CJ/Toby, CJ/Sam, or any other couple, either. This episode was about big block of cheese day - groups that normally don't get an audience at the White House (the crackpots) get a day to talk about their things. Sam talked with a UFO guy, CJ got the wildlife group, and both were unwillingly affected by what the groups had to say. Then there was Josh who was genuinely upset that he was the only one of his friends to get a card with instructions on where to go in case of nuclear attack, and ultimately gave it back, saying, "I want to be a comfort to my friends in tragedy. And I want to be able to celebrate with them in triumph. And for all the times in between, I just want to be able to look them in the eye. Leo, its not for me. I want to be with my friends, my family, and these women." These women being the women who work in the White House, who just amaze Leo and the president every day with everything they can do. And not in a patronizing sense, but in full out actual awe and admiration.

Okay, and seeing Josh's extremely well-defined muscles in the teaser when everyone is playing basketball didn't hurt. <.g>

Since my first episode was

Since my first episode was In the Shadow of Two Gunmen, my first couple was CJ/Sam. He saved her, after all. They had this cool thing going. Sadly, it seems like no one agrees with me. LOL I've found one story for them, and then this one. I think I like this one best - when she needs to get rid of the dreams that still haunts her, she takes Sam with her and they talk and share. I love them. Even if she is so much taller than he is. <.g> They're cute and sweet.

I love CJ and Toby.

I love CJ and Toby. Add in Sam and Josh, and it's just too cute for words. <.g> Even if Toby does disparage Chicago and then they all badmouth the Braves. Despite this, I love them still.

The blissful day of doing

The blissful day of doing NOTHING. I could get used to this. <.g> Anyway, the fall schedule for WB will be out Tuesday, but this is the summer one:

MONDAYS
8:00 - "7th heaven" (1)
9:00 - "7th heaven" (2)

TUESDAYS
8:00 - "the wb's night at the movies"

WEDNESDAYS
8:00 - "dawson's creek"
9:00 - "felicity"

THURSDAYS
8:00 - "gilmore girls"
9:00 - "charmed"

FRIDAYS
8:00 - "sabrina, the teenage witch" (1)
8:30 - "sabrina, the teenage witch" (2)
9:00 - "popstars" (1)
9:30 - "popstars" (2)

SUNDAYS
(no changes were announced)

<.sigh> No Buffy. Which leads me to believe that the rumors are true - WB canceled Angel, Roswell, and Popular. If WB did cancel Angel, UPN is contractually obligated to pick it up. Movies to air on Tuesday nights include ``The Breakfast Club,'' ``Ferris Bueller's Day Off'' and ``I Know What You Did Last Summer.'' But hey, UPN has a Buffy banner up now. We'll ignore that it's on top of Chains of Love, okay? <.g> But their show sites don't seem to be all that bad. The Voyager one, anyway. Bios of cast and characters, videos and wavs, etc. I've seen a lot worse. LOL

Now I have to scrounge around and find breakfast. I can't believe this is my last Sunday in the dorms. I'm not ready to go home yet!

May 05, 2001

Wow, I love Congaree's story!!!

Wow, I love Congaree's story!!! I think I now have two horses. <.g>

Watched the premiere - wow.

Watched the premiere - wow. Loved it!!! Josh and Donna were so cute, and I refuse to let myself hate Mandy for dating Josh. <.g> I know how it ends up, I can be very charitable. <.g>

Anyway, my horse is Songandaprayer. What about you guys?

As usual, Krissy-the-voice-of-reason was right.

As usual, Krissy-the-voice-of-reason was right. <.g> I started breathing again and I did good!!! I bet I got a B. The matching kinda threw me, but I got at least 16/30 points there. Then I know I totally got the short answer, so there's 30 points. Then the essay - beautiful essay. LOL Not about Dead Sea Scrolls, but Joshua, which I know almost as well. Mom's always loved the book of Joshua, hence my brother's name. <.g> So I talked for two pages on that. He said to pay attention to four sites, and I didn't know one of them, but I brought in a different one he didn't mention that I knew about. So I think that'll be okay. If anyone wants to know historical accuracies on Jericho, Hazor, Ai, and Shechem, I'm your gal. LOL

Then, after, I stopped for ice cream. This time as a happy thing. LOL But since it was happy, I opted not for the strawberry ice cream, but instead of strawberry-orange juice frozen yogurt smoothie. <.g> Much more healthy and still quite delicious. I have this total thing for strawberries. LOL

Hey, I have time for the WW premiere before the Derby starts! yay! <.g> I'm feeling so happy right now!

Okay, PANICKING! I shouldn't. I

Okay, PANICKING! I shouldn't. I know this stuff. He wrote this to take no more than an hour, so it's going to be fine. I'm going to be fine. I know this, I know this, I know this. I know this.

Maybe I won't be starting

Maybe I won't be starting my WW marathon today! Kentucky Derby is on at 4, Ingrid Bergman's Jeckyll and Hyde is on at 5, Peggy Sue Got Married is on at 7, and Iron Chef is on at 9. I guess I'll start tomorrow. LOL!

Now I know all about Saul, David and Solomon, so there's another potential essay topic I won't cry over. Only an hour left. ::whimper::

Hey, cool!!! Previously, all of

Hey, cool!!! Previously, all of the Buffy books were set in, like, third season with Oz and Angel. But now they have a trilogy set between fourth and fifth season - book one just came out, and it's called Unseen - The Burning. So Tara and Riley are in it! Tara is called Willow's girlfriend, and Willow is referred to as Tara' sweetie. <.g> Plus, apparently some scenes are even from Tara's POV, and she gets to be in on the action. I guess that Chris Golden is also working on another Buffy novel set in the future that Tara's in. Which, you know, considering her current state and the fact that people die in the finale, is a good thing for Amber, I think. LOL Well, actually, another good thing for her is that UPN welcomed the *eight* regular cast members this week. Sarah, Nicky, Aly, Emma, James, Michelle, Tony and....Amber? Who else could it be?

I also heard that BBC is setting up a little mini-Giles spin off! Not that Giles is mini, the spinoff is. LOL Like a mini-series to be done during Buffy's hiatus because Tony wants to spend more time in England with his family. Wouldn't that be cool? It would be cooler if I was in England and could see it, but still. LOL As long as Giles is still on Buffy, I think it'd be cool.

Can you tell I'm reading the Kitten boards this morning? LOL Someone reported that UPN has this habit of putting on several hours of their best shows a week. Like, four Moesha episodes a week, 3 Voyager, etc.Wouldn't that be cool if they did that with Buffy? There's still the horrifying fact that WB occupies my UPN primetime and I don't know when I'll see Buffy (for me, Voyager airs at 6pm on at least Tuesdays). Also, UPN might be in the market to buy not only Angel if its canceled, but also Roswell. Roswell isn't on WB's summer repeat schedule, and they also are thinking of pushing Buffy/Angel off of Tuesdays to put in a movie. No idea where, if anywhere, they'd put B/A then.

And that would be the end of my information. LOL 3.5 hours to my final....ACK!

Well, I studied for about

Well, I studied for about an hour or so last night. I went through all the terms and was able to define most of them without looking, which is good. Now we just have to pray that the essay is on the Dead Sea Scrolls, as that's basically the only one I know. LOL I'll have to look over a few more just in case.

I'm Jen-less for most of the weekend! Last night, she went to Decatur for a rave, and she IMed me this morning to say that she probably won't be back until tomorrow morning or so because she was staying at ISU. Works for me! LOL After I get back from the Bible final, I'm starting my WW marathon. <.giggle> I'm very excited. Anyone wanna come over and watch with me?!

May 04, 2001

Witness how much I have

Witness how much I have not studied. <.g> I watched both parts of In the Shadow of Two Gunmen, and then decided to see what other episodes were on there. She fit 11 episodes onto the tape. I watched bits and pieces of several episodes (favorite scenes, really). Then I watched all of The Stackhouse Fillibuster, which is my all time favorite episode of them all. The whole ep is wonderful, and today I noticed at the very end, Donna is also in Josh's office with him, and he's passing over his beer. So they're sharing drinks! <.g> How cute is that? LOL So yeah, I watched about 3 hours of WW, and then watched a Cary Grant/Audrey Hepburn movie called Charade which was just awesome. And now Chad Lowe is on Law and Order: SVU, so I'm watching that. LOL I knew this would happen - I got so happy being done with SAC that I'm not really doing anything for Bible. But I should. So here I go. Right.

OOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!! There was an unmarked

OOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!! There was an unmarked tape in the WW box from Stephanie, I put it in, and it's the second season premiere. ::Whimper:: Oh my God, oh my God, I have to watch. Oh, my GOD! My poor Josh. I remember this! This is so amazing. What an incredible episode.

Well, that was surprisingly okay.

Well, that was surprisingly okay. I got done with the matching and T/F in under ten minutes, because I actually knew them!! I may have gotten one or two wrong, but I'd be quite satisfied with a 54/60 or so on that section. Even the essays weren't that bad. I probably could have written them a lot better, but I was having problems. But my outlines and notes were clear and concise, and she looks at those as part of the essay, which is good. So I bet I got a B or C+ on it, which I'm quite pleased with.

Now I'm staring at season one of West Wing and wondering if I could take time to watch the premiere before studying Bible. <.g>

Essay two: Guaman Poma shared

Essay two: Guaman Poma shared his knowledge through text and images. He wanted to instruct the Spanish is the ways of the Indians and their religions. The artists in Guyana that Lieberman talked to share knowledge of histories, religion and traditions through their art. Then he takes those things and adds his own experiences in to create poems and literature, and then he turns that into oral narratives. Knowledge is transformed through many mediums.

Damn it! Now it's pouring out. Like, torrential downpour. Is it perhaps time to get over my umbrella phobia?

OKay, this is what I

OKay, this is what I have for my first essay - Everything is a way of passing on knowledge, TV, photos, discussions, movies, etc. You can learn by listening and through your own experiences. Everything is an instrument of knowledge. Now I just have to majorly expand that into a page or two of writing. <.g> But I'm thinking I can talk about her lectures and videos we saw in class and how that taught us about world views, and how people in Latin America saw things like Godzilla and it influenced them and introduced them to our world views.

Fuck, man. It's not raining anymore, but it's still getting very dark. Damn, damn, damn. I love seeing Erica and Brooke be friends, though. Odd to be thinking that Erica is completely right.

And the skies open! These

And the skies open! These are HUGE raindrops. Grrr. So I'll be wet and cranky when I go to my final. Oh, I WISH I knew what to study! Do I need to know thew spirit cult names? I can't spell these things, there are occasionally no vowels! <.whimper>

It's TMI day on Scullyfic,

It's TMI day on Scullyfic, and now we know there's a guy on the list. <.snicker> Oh, well. It's proving to be an educational day. Like, did you know that if you get Vagisil in your mouth, your entire jaw goes numb for about an hour? I mean, how could I have gone through life not knowing that?

2 hours until my final. I think I'm going to cry.

May 03, 2001

Gah. Well, I reviewed for

Gah. Well, I reviewed for many hours. After I got off the phone with Melissa - you know, I really do love her. She's a good friend. But could she POSSIBLY be a little more self-centered? "We" talked for 45 minutes before she asked how I'd been. I got to say about 5 sentences on Josh's surgery before she turned the conversation back on herself. I was on the phone for an hour and all I got to say was, "Uh-huh. Really? Of course! No way. Absolutely. Uh-huh," etc. I mean, I get the fact that I have no life and she kind of does. And I'm interested in the Erich saga, even if I'm not entirely sure it's not at least partially in her mind. (Although the fact that he invited her to a garden party that he hadn't exactly quite scheduled until after he asked her did sound rather promising.) But still.

Anyway. LOL I reviewed a lot. And as ER was starting, Joanne called and asked me questions and stuff. You know what? I answered. I could explain. That bodes well, right? Tell me that bodes well. LOL She said that on the last test, we not only got the grade, but also the projected grade for the semester. I think it's a good thing that I didn't get that test back - I can go in lying to myself about grade possibilities. LOL But while I'm still nervous and confident that I don't really know enough of what I should, I don't think I'll fail. I hope. But Joanne and I both don't understand what she could possibly MC/TF test us, and are baffled that the two essays are the same. But you know what? In 13.5 hours, I'm going to be done with this class, for better or worse!

I just don't know how

I just don't know how to study for SAC! I went to the review, and I wrote down everything she said. It was all stuff that I knew. Then she gave us the essay topics, basically: first is about multiple ways of knowing and production/representations of the knowing, and the second is ways of knowing and representation through literature and art with specific reference for Professor Liberman's poems. Those just sound like they're the same topics! Then she said if we could write the essays we'd know enough specifics for the matching and true/false. I can talk about spirits, I can talk about black suns and Jesus and Moses as Indian, I can definitely talk about the tango and concepts of power. I just don't know what I'm supposed to be able to talk about. Of everything she told us to study, I can't see how she's going to get matching and true/ false out of it. I can't see how I can write two essays on basically the exact same thing. I guess the first one could be about the hallucinatory drugs and dancing, and the second about my buddy Guaman Poma, the art that the drug people do when they see their stuff, and then Liberman. But it sounds so much the same.

Awwwwwwww, West is so cute! Although why they would give her a beautiful name like Madelaine and then call her West is beyond me. West Duchovny? Ranks right up there with Piper Maru Klotz. LOL Not that I'm criticizing them, it just seems mean to the kids. <.g> With unusual last names, you'd think they'd go for a more normal first ones. <.g>

I am seriously so tired.

I am seriously so tired. I would give anything for a nap right now.

Okay, she got in at

Okay, she got in at 5:30. LOL No wonder she was still sleeping. <.g>

My mommy posted feedback about my Hermione story! <.g> She's so sweet - it was her first fanfic. LOL She's probably going to be less than thrilled about the direction of the story, but oh, well. <.g>

I got my Bible paper back - a B. <.sigh> I was so sad, I went straight for the ice cream. LOL Best ice cream there is - they take vanilla ice cream and add actual fruit to it and blend it together. The strawberry is just perfection. <.g> Made me feel a little better.

Before I left, I found fun WW fic from a new author. Exhibit A and 20 Hours in Wisconsin are part of a fun series, and the Edibles series is also cool. The latest story in that, Priceless, is a Bad Moon Rising post-ep about the tough love equipment line. LOL

Now I must study SAC for tomorrow. ::whimper:: 22 hours.

I really wonder what time

I really wonder what time Jen got in last night. It's 11:30 and she's still sleeping! She's *always awake before I am. That's so weird.

Mmmmm, popcorn chicken and hummus for lunch today. LOL

::whimper:: My watch is breaking.

::whimper:: My watch is breaking. The strap is cracked almost all the way across where the buckle thing always rests. I am so upset! I love this watch. It's my favorite of all my watches, and believe me when I say that I have had a LOT of watches. I tend to go through them like water, but I've had this one since my 18th birthday - Josh gave it to me. Or it could have been 17th. I don't remember now, but it's such a cute shiny pale green with blue accents. And it gives me the date, too. <.sigh> I don't want my watch to break!!

Quick comment about West Wing

Quick comment about West Wing - there was, like, NO Josh/Donna interactions. But the Joey/Josh made up for it. Damn, I love Marlee Matlin. But I had some problems during her scene. When she talked or signed, I was fine. I can understand her speech, lots of experience in my life. But when she wrote things down? Totally lost. LOL I missed so much because Josh couldn't understand what she was saying, and I couldn't read her handwriting. <.g> I have to rewatch and try and figure it out.

And Dawson's Creek? Totally bummed about Dawson/Gretchen, Pacey broke my heart although I understand where he's coming from, I actually really liked Drue, and Jack and Tobey...totally in love with them. <.g> They rock. So, it was a good episode, I think.

May 02, 2001

I like this story. I

I like this story. I like CJ and Toby. I like CJ and Josh. I'm currently wondering about CJ and Abbey's relationship, but that has no bearing on the story. LOL CJ gets involved with a cat fight, Toby's adorable and Josh is concerned. Very funny. <.g>

Woo-hoo! Kate gave me my

Woo-hoo! Kate gave me my birthday present, since she probably won't see me before we go home - When Harry Met Sally DVD!!! I'm so excited - I haven't seen this movie yet!

Also, Little Willow e-mailed me and asked if she could put my wallpaper up on Amber's official site. They always seem to like the ones that I don't spend much time on - why is that? <.g> But I'm very excited. LOL

Yay! Kate's coming over to

Yay! Kate's coming over to watch West Wing and play Harry Potter games. I've decided I need to stop studying - my mind is a mess. I told Gen that Pacey and Tobey were kissing, made today's g-w topic "Fairy Tails," forgot a few words when IMing Kate, etc etc etc. It's really getting scary. LOL Today was the last day of classes - tomorrow is reading day, so all I have is a review session and the rest of the day is mine to study study study. Joy.

People are mean. Both Carol

People are mean. <.g> Both Carol and Kate are taunting me with, "I got your birthday present!" I don't wanna wait 9 days!

Of course, you'd be in

Of course, you'd be in the Psych book. Where else?

Hey, new West Wing tonight. Yay!

Okay, panic mode. If you

Okay, panic mode. If you were a review sheet with 75 Bible terms, more than half of which have been defined, where would you be?

I love the Kitten board.

I love the Kitten board. LOL In another stroke of procrastination, I made a quick W/T wallpaper. It's really rather boring, just a few pictures and song lyrics, didn't have time for anything more. But they still feedback me like it's Monet, or something. LOL Smoochies to them! There's talk of a Chicago Kitten get-together for the Buffy finale...maybe I'll try and go? Although the way things look, I'd end up running the whole thing. <.g>

GH was okay today. Tammy

GH was okay today. Tammy Braun started - she looks so much like my cousin! I can't tell if she's familiar because I've seen her those times at the family stuff, or because she looks like Rachel. <.g> She seemed to be fine, but I don't know about her acting yet - time will tell, I guess. It's just....she's not Sarah. LOL

Child Psych went fast - again, I don't know if I got an A, but I didn't get lower than a B, either. I guess we'll see...

I also found a really

I also found a really neat summary/description of the Buffy finale. I don't think it's true, and I don't care. Because it was such a good, inspired idea that it was perfect fanfic. <.g> But if the real finale is anything like this idea, it's going to be incredible.

Amber Benson is so cool.

Amber Benson is so cool. <.g> I really want to see her movie, Chance. She wrote, directed, produced, edited, and starred in it, along with Andy Hallett (The Host) and James Marsters. She got to make out with James Marsters! I want her job. <.g>

Well, I did the best

Well, I did the best I could. I don't know if I got an A - it's possible. I definitely didn't get any lower than a B, though.

Still needing a G-W topic. <.groan> Something on milestones...

Last minute reviewing. The only

Last minute reviewing. The only thing I don't know well are the bio factors and potential meds for Alzheimer's. Watch that be the bulk of the test, just to taunt me. <.g> Seriously, though, I think I'm going to do well.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can....LOL

::gasp:: I'm a floating rose

::gasp:: I'm a floating rose on the Kitten boards!!!!! I was beginning to think that I was going to be a Blessed Wannabe forever! LOL

Woo-hoo!!!!!!! Granger-Weasley hit 50 members

Woo-hoo!!!!!!! Granger-Weasley hit 50 members this morning!!!! 3 people joined this morning alone. How totally cool is that?!?! We have weekly chats, actual conversations, 50 members, and in only 2 months. ::happy sigh:: I'm so excited.

Now I need a topic for today. LOL

May 01, 2001

Jen rented Bring it On.

Jen rented Bring it On. This is not helping me study. LOL I don't care how bad it is, I kinda like this movie. <.g>

Speaking of studying - so much of this is easy and I can explain it to Kate. The rest terrifies me.

Angel looks really good next

Angel looks really good next week. But it *also seems a whole bunch like one of Saber's stories...

Okay, ACK about the endings

Okay, ACK about the endings of Buffy and Angel tonight!!! I get the point - you want me to tune in next week. But I was planning on it anyway! Now I just get to obsess for the next week! Urgh.

I just spent almost three hours studying Abnormal Psych. Now I'm starting Child Psych. If I ace the tests, I'm pretty sure I'll get As in both classes. Definitely Child, most likely Abnormal. ::whine:: I want As.

Okay, so the men of

Okay, so the men of Angel are bi, not gay. I can handle that. <.g> Still balances out the same, Gunn is in love with Wes who is in love with Angel who is afraid to love anyone. LOL Let's also add Wes to the list of men I just want to cuddle and make feel better. <.g> What a cutie-pie.

XANDER CUT HIS HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's

XANDER CUT HIS HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's so cute!!

Okay, opening up Buffy/Angel tape

Okay, opening up Buffy/Angel tape #7 for this season. ::shakes head:: I really should have invested in those 8 and 10 hour videos again. LOL If there are 4 episodes left this season, I'm going to cry, because this tape will only hold three. This is why I lost Restless, people!

Meanwhile, my mommy and daddy sent me a fruit basket for finals week! Okay, it's actually more of a fruit box, but still. <.g> I'm very excited.

What I remember about May

What I remember about May Day is the maypole. Didn't they have a bit on that in the All of a Kind Family books, by Sydney Taylor? Or maybe it was the Betsy books by Carolyn Haywood? Hmmm. Could be Ellen Tebbits, by Beverly Cleary, too. LOL Well, it was some bit in a book I read zillions of times when I was a kid. <.g> I loved the idea of the ribbons winding around the pole - so pretty!

Oh, boy. This bit about

Oh, boy. This bit about Buffy's finale doesn't make me a happy person! Ten to one I spend the night in tears. It also makes me nervous that I may have guessed what happens - Jen and I were talking about the episode last week and this one idea just popped into my head. I really, really hope I'm wrong! It would be in league with Becoming, though.

But as much as I'm not happy, I am. Because I like when the show makes me cry, because then I'm invested in the characters. <.g> But MAN there is a lot of death this year! Someone is dying on the finale all four of my main shows - Buffy, Angel, West Wing, and XFiles. Well, WW isn't confirmed yet and Angel is just a rumor, but still. <.g>

I just stumbled on the

I just stumbled on the best part of geocities - they give stats for each page on my site! So I know that nearly 650 people have hit my Buffy page since I moved the site, and most of them went to my gallery page. <.g> Ten people have hit my original stories page, but only two saw fit to read anything, and they both chose the poems. For All Time is my most popular X-Files story, but the least popular WENN. This is fun. <.g>

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stephanie mailed me season

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stephanie mailed me season one of West Wing!!!!! Now that is complete and total trust - I got so busy last week, that I didn't get the money order out on time. I probably mailed it the day she mailed the tapes. Man, I love her.

Great. Followed the link from

Great. Followed the link from Amy, and found out that I'm a station wagon. <.g>

"You swore you'd never get one, but deep down you knew it was inevitable. Now it's finally happened. The car for you is a sensible, reliable, and oh-so-traditional Station Wagon. But don't panic: you haven't totally become your parents! We're not thinking a Chrysler Town & Country or even a Ford Taurus. The car for you is a hip, updated version of the classic. You've inherited everything that was cool about your folks, and taken it to the next level. Gone are the wood panels and cheesy colors, and way in are the leather interior, CD player, and gear racks for your weekend adventures. How about a Subaru Outback, Volvo V40, or a Saab Aero Wagon—in a classic navy or a firebrick red? You're so happening; no one would ever know that you've got those sensible airbags tucked away for a rainy day."

ACK! Not only is Robert

ACK! Not only is Robert Downey, Jr leaving Ally, so are Lucy Liu, Taye Diggs, and Greg Germann!! I'd miss Ling, the new guy doesn't bother me, but Richard is so much a part of the show! They might as well get rid of Ally!

Kerri's sending me "On Golden

Kerri's sending me "On Golden Pond"!!!! I was so bummed that I forgot to watch that - I love Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, and I love the movie. It probably have less of a kick not watching it live, but still, I get to see it! Wheee!

There's nothing quite as annoying

There's nothing quite as annoying as skimming a story and realizing that it's incredibly similar to the one that you've been working on for days. GRRRRRRRRR. I'm not sure what I can do know - I stopped reading it, and the ideas are somewhat different, I guess. And my story is based on an idea I posted to g-w two months ago, so that did come first. I just feel like the wind has been pulled from my sails. LOL
